The “Gaucho” life, crafted in silver.

👉 San Antonio de Areco is a vibrant hub for traditional Argentine silversmithing, a craft deeply intertwined with gaucho culture.

💫 This artisan heritage is a living legacy not to be missed, with many workshops and museums dedicated to the intricate art of working silver.

🔪 Silversmiths create pieces essential to gaucho life, such as facones (knives), mate gourds and bombillas, belt buckles, stirrups, and horse tack, often with elaborate designs.

✨ Many workshops are run by generations of silversmiths, preserving techniques passed down through families.

👉 The Draghi family is particularly famous, having significantly contributed to the revival and international recognition of criollo (creole) silversmithing.
