The Carnival of Uruguay goes from late January to March 🥳. It has a mix of European and African influences, and a lot of "murga". The "llamadas" are parades of candombe groups, one of the most representative expressions of Afro-descendant culture 👏🏼.

👉🏼Come meet them and, in the process, enjoy Uruguay, a country where we love to sleep over the water in an ecotourism center 5 km east of José Ignacio and spend a few days in the forest by the sea in sustainable domes located in Maldonado 😍.

One of the most picturesque seasons in South America is approaching: the carnival 🙌🏼.
One of the most important ones takes place in Oruro, Bolivia 👹.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the festival unfolds over six days, showcasing popular arts in the form of masks, weavings, and embroideries 😍.

Its main event is the procession ("entrada"), during which dancers parade for 20 hours straight, covering four kilometers 🥵. Over 28,000 dancers and 10,000 musicians divided into about 50 groups participate in the parade, which still retains the characteristics of medieval mysteries.

Declarada Patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO, la festividad se desarrolla a lo largo de seis días en los que se despliegan artes populares en forma de máscaras, tejidos y bordados 😍.

Su principal acontecimiento es la procesión (“entrada”), durante la cual los bailarines recorren durante 20 horas, sin interrupción, cuatro kilómetros 🥵. Más de 28.000 bailarines y 10.000 músicos repartidos en unos 50 grupos participan en el desfile, que aún conserva las características de los misterios medievales.

Is there such a thing as the best beach in the world 🤔? Well, we haven't seen them all 😅, but travelers from around the world have determined on TripAdvisor that one of them is Baía do Sancho, in Brazil 😍. This beach is part of the 21 islands of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago, declared a UNESCO heritage site and located 350 km off the Brazilian coast.

In addition to its incredible beauty, it boasts a great abundance of marine life, including the world's largest colony of dolphins 🐬, sea turtles, and manta rays. This makes it a mecca for diving 🤿.

Hi 👋🏼! I'm Sandra and I want to share with you a bit about my story at Anda 🤗.

😊 I returned to Anda 3 years ago, leading sales and operations, forming, post-pandemic, a new team of women from whom I learn and draw inspiration, in which we have fun and help each other grow ✨✨.

But this path began long before. I arrived at the agency 16 years ago 😱! At 25, I traveled a lot, worked creating trips and events throughout Argentina, and whenever I had time, I would grab my backpack and set out to explore 🎒.

💡I wanted to combine what I knew and did to offer trips with a strong social and environmental focus, helping to create positive changes in communities in Argentina. With that in mind, we worked with Elvi (.museri) and other collaborators in the early days of Anda, full of joy and enthusiasm 💪🏻. I remember having fun working until very late at night 😂🥱!

🦋 Over time, my path took different directions: I managed a ranch in Tierra del Fuego, started my own social enterprise related to fair trade, and also worked in the public sector (in the City of Buenos Aires and the province). I also became a mother to a daughter 💖, which led me to a profound internal shift that brought me closer to the world of yoga and a more consistent spiritual practice 🧘🏻‍♀️.

¡Hola 👋🏼! Soy Sandra y quiero contarles un poco sobre mi historia en Anda 🤗.

😊 Volví a Anda hace 3 años, llevando adelante las ventas y operaciones, conformando, post pandemia, un nuevo equipo de mujeres de las que aprendo y me inspiro, en el que nos divertimos y nos ayudamos a crecer ✨✨.

Pero mi camino en la agencia empezó mucho antes. ¡Llegué a ella hace 16 años 😱! A los 25, viajaba mucho, trabajaba creando viajes y eventos por Argentina y siempre que tenía tiempo, agarraba la mochila y salía a recorrer 🎒. One of the services we offer is customized trips for groups from institutions or companies that want to explore Latin America from a specific perspective 👏🏻.

A few days ago, we welcomed MBA students from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, who were eager to immerse themselves in Buenos Aires' entrepreneurial and business ecosystem 👌🏻. Together, we shared an agenda of activities that included 👇🏻:

📉 A talk with an economist who provided an overview of the current and recent economic and political situation in Argentina (no easy task, Argentina is quite complex 🥵).

👩🏻‍💼👨🏽‍💼 Meetings with entrepreneurs from the finance world, triple impact sector, sports, and local agricultural industry.

🏙️ City tours: from the historic center to the gems of La Boca, including the Bechamel cooperative (where we made alfajores 😋!) and the Marjam Grum Cultural Center (where we enjoyed empanadas and wine 🍷!).

⚽ Tango and football, a true Buenos Aires combo.

👉🏻 Additionally, we organized accommodation and transportation for the entire group. Undoubtedly, it was a week we will always remember 🤗!

Hello, here is Elvi, one of the founders of Anda, writing to you all ✍🏼! I have a beautiful experience that I want to share with all our traveler friends 🤗.

Back in 2014, I was visiting the Northwest of Argentina with my family. At that, time my kids were 2 and 5 years old 🥹. Along the route we visited Ocumazo -a town located in the puna at 3.000m- and met Raúl. At that time there were 12 families living there.

Today, ten years later, I had the great satisfaction of returning to Ocumazo, after having sent several families and travellers to this secluded town 🙏🏻.

I am so happy to see continuity, transformation, and the smiles in the faces of ANDA's 2024 team who came to visit Ocumazo for their first time, after talking with Raúl several times in the past ☺️.

I cellebrate the work we do at Anda with local communities, and I hope we continue building these bonds 💪🏻.

En 2014, estaba visitando el noroeste de Argentina con mi familia. En ese momento, mis hijos tenían 2 y 5 años 🥹. A lo largo de la ruta, visitamos Ocumazo, un pueblo ubicado en la puna a 3.000 metros de altura, donde conocimos a Raúl. En ese momento, vivían 12 familias allí.

¡Hoy, a diez años de aquello, tuve la gran satisfacción de regresar a Ocumazo, después de haber enviado a varias familias y viajeros a este pueblo aislado 🙏🏻!

Estoy muy feliz de ver la continuidad, la transformación y las sonrisas en los rostros del equipo de ANDA 2024, que visitó Ocumazo por primera vez, después de haber hablado con Raúl varias veces en el pasado ☺️.

¡Celebro el trabajo que realizamos en Anda con las comunidades locales, y espero que sigamos construyendo estos lazos 💪🏻!

We welcomed a wonderful group of women from Boston who traveled to Argentina on a mission 🙌🏼. In addition to visiting institutions they collaborate with, we had time to engage in discussions with specialists (including Eyal Sela, the ambassador of Israel in Argentina), participate in volunteer work, enjoy walks, gastronomy, tourism, and culture.
