If you ever wanted to feel like you were in an Ice Age movie, you're going to love trekking on the Vinciguerra Glacier and Los Témpanos Lagoon.

The Vinciguerra Glacier is one of the largest in Tierra del Fuego and a unique walk, whose main attractions are the feeling of solitude and closeness to nature.

The glacier itself is not “walkable” due to the huge number of crevasses it has. But what you will do is enter the incredible ice caves. You will find a wonderful celestial world of crevasses and sinkholes.

Have you ever thought about imitating the feat of San Martín crossing the Andes Mountains on horseback?

Today it is possible and more accessible than at that time. It represents a hard and long journey with a striking nature, more difficult than a conventional route, but with all the appeal of an epic or historical journey.

The proposals are varied and have to do with the six possible accesses that exist to cross from Argentina to Chile. The expeditions can last from seven to 11 days, depending on the route, and depart from the provinces of Mendoza, San Juan and La Rioja. With their differences, the options have several points in common: sleeping outdoors, riding a horse, crossing snowy mountains and admiring the landscape.

The "Fileteado Porteño" emerged at the end of the 19th century as an ornament to beautify horse-drawn carts that transported food, later transitioning to decorate buses.

It was very common among them to find phrases chosen by the vehicle owners, some created by them and others taken from popular sayings about work, effort, life, and destiny, often in a humorous format.

In Buenos Aires, there are places that adopt "fileteado porteño" as an aesthetic that identifies them: bars, grills, taverns, bookstores, and various industries not only display fileteado signs and marquees but also incorporate fileteado in the details and interior decoration.

🍷 Malbec is the emblematic varietal of Argentina, due to the quality and quantity of wines that are produced with this strain in the country.

Although it has its origin in France, for several decades Argentina has been the main producer of Malbec globally.

International Malbec Day emerged from the growth and evolution of the varietal's production. This was what prompted Wines of Argentina, an entity that promotes Argentine wine in the world, to establish a day in the year to celebrate Malbec and, along with it, also the success of the local wine industry.

The choice of the date is not coincidental. On April 17, but in 1853, a project was presented to found a farm and an agricultural school in Mendoza, the first step to promote wine development in the country.

The initiative had come from then-president Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, who set out to transform the country's wine production, which had existed since the arrival of the Spanish.

La Silleta, Catamarca.

This paradise seems to be from Switzerland, but it is in the North of Argentina and is one of the most wonderful corners of this region. Its landscapes are like a story and can be explored.

In the town of Las Juntas, in the province of Catamarca, just 12 kilometers from Provincial Route 4 and approximately 75 kilometers from the Capital City, this jewel of nature is located to which man seems to have not yet intervened.

This is La Silleta, a treasure located at more than 2,300 meters above sea level and is accessed by a magnificent path covered with Yungueño montane forests, native pines, elder trees, walnut trees and wild daisies.

Like in the Caribbean, but in Argentina.

Meet the paradisiacal beach of white sand and transparent water hidden in Patagonia.

This beach is called Bahía Brava and is located in Villa La Angostura, Neuquén.

A destination that hides the most amazing wonders of nature: mountains, lakes, beaches and forests.

Due to the shape of the bay and the currents that form, the water is usually warmer than in other areas of the same lake. Additionally, there is a beautiful dock facing the turquoise, crystal-clear water, where you can sail.

Several countries around the world celebrate Immaculate Conception Day on December 8.

This day celebrates the dogma according to which the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus for Catholics, “was conceived without original sin,” as Pope Pius IX proclaimed on the day in 1854 when he established the holiday.

At that time, the Supreme Pontiff, gathered more than 200 bishops, ambassadors and thousands of faithful, who decided to celebrate their faith in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. That day the 300 bells from different towers in the city rang in unison, while hundreds of doves were released in honor of the mother of Christ. In his speech, he declared this date as the date of her conception, nine months prior to her birth, September 8.

Many Christian families choose to honor this sacred event by decorating their homes with the most iconic symbol of Christmas: the tree.

The Christmas tree has long been a symbol of hope and life during the cold winter. Its perennial shape represents eternity and the lights that adorn it symbolize the light of Christ. Setting up the tree on December 8 is not only an act of celebration, but also an opportunity to reflect on Christian values and the importance of family during the Christmas season.

22/09/2023

Argentine gauchos are legendary figures in the history and culture of Argentina. These brave horsemen have played an essential role in the country's history and continue to symbolize freedom, equestrian skill, and a passion for outdoor life.

The Boleadoras: Essential Tools of the Gaucho

Boleadoras are traditional Argentine weapons used by gauchos for various purposes, including hunting and herding cattle. They consist of two or three balls, often made of stone, wood, or metal, connected by cords. Gauchos skillfully twirl the boleadoras and release them to entangle the legs of their prey, immobilizing them.

Their Lifestyle: Freedom and Adventure

Gauchos embody independence and resilience. They live in harmony with nature, riding horses and tending to cattle on vast ranches. Their distinctive attire includes baggy trousers, leather boots, colorful ponchos, and hats. This clothing is not only functional but also a testament to their proud heritage.

Gaucho Gastronomy: The Asado

Nothing better represents gaucho culture than Argentine barbecue, known as the asado. Gauchos are masters of the grill, cooking meat over open flames in a way that has delighted taste buds worldwide. Argentine barbecue is an unparalleled culinary experience where juicy meat combines with the flavor of fire and camaraderie.

Exploring the history and culture of Argentine gauchos is an experience that will transport you to a world of adventure and tradition!

JAGUAR NUMBER 17 LIVES FREE IN IBERÁ · At least seventeen jaguars have been confirmed living in Iberá Park, in northeastern Argentina, with the record of a new cub through camera traps. Nine of them were conceived and born in freedom in the great Corrientes wetland.

In just over two years, Corrientes went from having no jaguars to becoming the province in the Argentine Gran Chaco with the largest jaguar population.

The king of these forests and wetlands is returning home. His presence brings back lost ecological interactions, restores a healthy environment, and benefits local communities with increased prosperity.

Mate, Medialunas & Asado. Three traditions that drive Argentines crazy. Which one is your favorite?

«¿Salen unos mates?», is one of the most heard phrases in a meeting between Argentine friends and families. This drink, declared a national infusion in 2013, is a symbol of friendship and sharing. While they "ceban" (drink) mates, the talks flow, stories and laughter are generated. On November 30 we celebrate National Mate Day.

Would you like to experience these traditions? Let’s plan together your next trip to Argentina!
