No creemos en los balances de fin de año. Preferimos mirar hacia adelante, seguros de haber dado lo mejor de nosotros. Some people say, "If life gives you lemons, make a frozen margarita." Our take on that wise saying is a bit more classic: If life gives you lemons, hand them to our basecamp staff so they can make you a cold lemonade—because good hydration is one of the key components of acclimatization. Our staff manager, who leads our expedition briefings, always asks our climbers the same question: “What does it take to climb Aconcagua? Two things: drink and endure.” So, let's stick to juice, tea, and coffee, and save the margaritas for the celebration back in Mendoza. One more thing: Our first team made it to the summit. Look at those happy faces—congratulations to all of them! 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Ready, set… go! Once again, it’s time to dream big as we open the doors to our favorite place on earth: Aconcagua. Our first expedition of the season is underway, heading up the mountain. Following protocol and tradition, they had their briefing and gear check, visited our logistical base in Mendoza, and today they entered the Park. Getting to this point took a lot of will, hard work, and, above all, commitment from our entire staff—the same team that will keep honoring our pledge to go above and beyond to ensure our climbers have the best and safest expedition ever. Welcome home, climbers, we really missed you!

¡Listos, preparados… ya! Una vez más, es momento de soñar en grande mientras abrimos las puertas a nuestro lugar favorito en la Tierra: el Aconcagua. Nuestra primera expedición de la temporada ya está en marcha, rumbo a la montaña. Siguiendo el protocolo y la tradición, tuvieron su charla informativa y revisión de equipo, visitaron nuestra base logística en Mendoza, y hoy ingresaron al Parque. What’s at Stake? Your vacation, your free time? Another summit, the first summit, one last summit? All the time and money invested? Not everyone has the same stakes, and that’s okay, because we do understand what’s at stake every time we climb Aconcagua. No two expeditions, or even seasons, are ever the same. But climbing should be fun—that’s why we take it so seriously. For some of our climbers, it’s just a game, like life. And that’s a great way to see it. Life might be a game, and our pride and joy is providing the most amazing playground to play it on.

¿Qué está en juego? ¿Tus vacaciones, tu tiempo libre? ¿Otro ascenso, el primer ascenso, el último ascenso? ¿Todo el tiempo y dinero invertido? No es lo mismo para todos, y está bien que así sea, porque nosotros sí entendemos todo lo que está en juego cada vez que subimos al Aconcagua. Ninguna expedición, o incluso una temporada, es igual a otra. De todos modos, debería ser algo divertido, y por eso lo tomamos tan en serio. Para algunos esto es solo un juego, como la vida. Y esa es una gran manera de verlo. La vida puede ser un juego, y nuestro mayor orgullo es ofrecer el terreno de juego más asombroso para jugarlo.

Some things need to be said, and if no one else will, it's our ethical obligation to speak up. There's a growing narrative on social media equating quitting with failure. We disagree. Sometimes, not reaching your goal means trying again until you succeed. But when climbing shifts from a passion to a dangerous obsession, things go wrong—especially when the idea of never giving up poisons your blood, clouds your mind, and endangers others. Pushing limits is essential, but so is understanding and respecting them. When the fine line between recklessness and common sense is crossed, the consequences can be severe. A guide’s mission, in our view, is to help climbers reach the summit safely while striving toward their goal. They act as mentors, counselors, and—above all—leaders. And they excel at it. We’ll take you to the top—always with care—because our exceptional safety record is built on sound decision-making, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Algunas cosas deben decirse, y si nadie más lo hace, es nuestra obligación ética hacerlo. Existe una narrativa creciente en las redes sociales que equipara rendirse con fracasar, y no estamos de acuerdo. No alcanzar la meta sólo significa intentar nuevamente hasta lograrlo.
