Jaguars in the Brazilian pantanal!

One of the best places in South America to see the most amazing wildlife is the Pantanal, located in the southwest of Brazil!

This is an incredible place and we take tours there every year to see the spectacular bird diversity of the area and also some amazing mammals such as the Jaguar.

This year to celebrate trogon tours 25th anniversary we have launched a fixed tour to the Pantanal.

The Black-and-white Tegu Lizard is one of the biggest lizards that we encounter during our tours in central and northern Argentina!

It is a very adaptable species that can live in many different habitats including rainforest, grasslands, hills, wetlands and farmlands.

They can even live in urban areas. This picture was taken in the famous Costanera Sur ecological reserve, located in the heart of Buenos Aires city, where this species can be seen in spring and summer.

We will be attending the 26th Space Coast birding and wildlife festival, from the 22nd to the 26th January 2025 at Radisson Resort at the Port Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States.

This is one of the largest, most comprehensive birding and wildlife festivals in the country!

The Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival (SCBWF) allows you to add to your life list, take some amazing photos, see different Florida habitats, and meet other birders and naturalists from around the world.

We will be eager to talk to all of you and answer all of your questions regarding our tours to Latin America and beyond and the amazing wildlife that we encounter during all of our trips.

Today we want to show you one of the most interesting endemic birds in Argentina. The Salinas Monjita, a small and delicate bird that only lives in a few salt flats in the centre and the west of the country.

An amazing species that has adapted to live in this harsh environment with desert like conditions, a true survivor and one of the main targets during our tours searching for endemic birds in the region.

Ornate Tinamou!

One of the six species of tinamous that we saw during our recent tour to northwestern Argentina. It is not easy to have such great views of this species but we were fortunate enough to find a small group of these
birds in an open plateau in the high andes.

Hello friends!

We want to let you know that we are going to be participating in the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival!

Located in Harlingen, Texas, this festival has been going on for more than 25 years and it attracts birdwatchers from around the world!

With magnificent habitats such as the Rio Grande, the Chihuahuan desert and the Gulf Coast very close you can visit the festival and also see some amazing birds in the area.

We hope to see you at the festival from November 6 to November 10! We will love to answer all of your questions and get to know you so don’t hesitate to talk to us there.

2024 has been designated as the international year of the camelids and we want to show you pictures of the two species of South American camelids that we usually see during our tours!

The first picture shows a Vicuña, a camelid that can be found at high elevations along the Andes mountains and the second is a pair of young guanacos, a species that lives at lower elevations both in the andes and
also in the patagonian steppe.
