Altaussee Lodge

This bright and spacious cottage was build in 2012 with high environmental standards and offers a total area of 180 sqm on 2 levels. The open plan ground floor holds the dining and living area, the kitchen, entrance and a small bathroom. The house is oriented southward with large windows and flooded by sunlight. On the first floor you find 3 large bedrooms with enough space for a 3rd person or a c

rib and the main bathroom. Surrounded by a lovely and save private garden. 4 cars parking space. You will love the house for its bright, open and high rooms. It is build mainly from organic materials with wooden floors in all living areas. In the living room you will find a fireplace and tiled stove. It is also equipped with a home cinema projector that can be used to show Dvd's or to be connected with your notebook. The house offers no internet connection and limited cellular connection so you can spend the time with yourself and with your beloved without distraction. The private garden is surrounded by a wooden fence and is therefore a save place for your small family members. You will find a barbecue grill and fire bowl for maximum convenience. Down at the road the venue offers enough space for up to 4 cars, connected to the house by a tunnel. This is especially useful in winter with heavy snow or rainy weather. In the basement you can use a washing machine and a dryer for your clothes. You have acces to the whole house and garden except for one private room on the first floor. We are not always on location but you can reach out by phone or email. Also there is a local contact very close to the house who will be there to welcome you and help you to check in. In case you need anything he will be there for you during your stay. Altaussee in the heart of Austria is famous for being a quiet, traditional, small village placed in an open and bright valley, surrounded by beautiful lakes and mountains. Because of the beauty of the landscape and the calm atmosphere it was a premier destination for writers, artists and leading personalities in the past till now. The nearby lake is magnificent and offers many natural beaches. distance by car the Loser ski resort offers ski tracks for beginners to pro's and . The trail around the lake is about 8 km long and perfect for your morning run or a relaxed walk with friends and family. The new luxury Narzissen Bad Spa is an ideal place to relax and is just 5 mins drive. Also within a few minutes you can reach the Altaussee saltine with offers guided tours which is fun and informative for all ages. The small town of Bad Aussee is a 15 min. drive and offers shops for all your needs and the famous traditional clothing ... Dirndl & Lederhose. The larger Tauplitz and Dachstein ski resorts are just a few mins drive. The wonderful town of Bad Ischl can be reached in 25 mins and of course no visit would be complete without visiting the Unesco world heritage of Hallstatt. The next train station can be found in Bad Aussee. Taxi's can be booked easily. Next airports are Salzburg, Linz and Graz. We are a nonsmoking accommodation. You are welcomed to smoke outside in the garden. The house has a kind of special heating system that needs some attention as it is not automatic. In wintertimes the tiled fire stove must be heated to have it nice and cosy. So if you plan to come for skiing you should be fine with making fire in the fireplace. As we wanted the house to be as autark as possible we did not build a traditional heating system. The basement is not 100% finished yet (we still need to decide how we want to use it) but clean. Also there is no dishwasher in the kitchen cause washing creates awareness about how we use things.
