There is a calm symmetry to these fine friendly soldiers. Wine is usually at the heart of bringing people together and plays a central but quiet role in celebrations. For some, it even adds to the enjoyment of culinary delights.
It feels different today, new hurdles to deal with.

Thank you Prague. Just back from a great wine tasting with lots of interested and delighful guests. So much so these were the only pics we took.

What an honour to spend the weekend with Pip Hare ahead of the 2024. This extraordinary single-handed round the world race starts in 2 weeks.
"More men have been to the moon than women have finished this race". It is brutal and requires immense skill, courage, and (as we say here at Höpler) a little bit of madness!
Pip gave us a fascinating tour of her Imoca boat, Medallia. It has foils (or wings!), which raise her boat up out of the water to enable her to sail faster than the wind. It can reach speeds of 30knots!
While we are all enjoying warm winter fires, Christmas and New Year, she will be facing the Southern Ocean, sleep in shifts of 20mins and the adventures the weather will bring.
We wish her all the best and good luck.
