After decades Umming and Ahhing about having a footprint in the Alps, we finally took the plunge this year, when we became the owners of this wonderful apartment in Piesendorf, with views to Kaprun and the Kitzstienhorn Glacier.

Timing couldn’t have been better if we had planned it, with the opening of phase 1 of the new link from Kaprun directly up to the Glacier in 2019/20 season and then phase 2 opening in 20/21. Beyond that the long awaited link from Piesendorf to the Zell am See ski area has been approved, timing to be confirmed, but fingers crossed for a quick schedule.

The Apartment Sleeps up to 8 people in 2 bedrooms with twin beds with extra bunk beds in the second bedroom. The living room sofa converting into another 2 beds. The apartments faces due south and has spectacular views across the valley, its 2 terraces ensures that there is always a place to watch the sunrise or set, and the elevate position above the valley floor gives you that extra bit of sun in the depths of winter.

The ski bus runs from the village taking you in about 10 mins to either Kaprun and the Maiskogel family mountain and the new Kitzsteinhorn link, or Zell am See/Schuttdorf where the AreitExpress will take you directly up into the Schmittenhohe, Zell am See ski area.
