This chapel was built by Werner von Trapp ( second son of Captain Von Trapp).Werner joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in Europe with the ski troops as part of the 10th Mountain Division.He swore that if he survived the war he would build a chapel. He returned from war and he kept his promise. Werner Von Trapp built the chapel with his own hands 1948 for his safe return from war.
Today we’re on a tour 😊. Trapp Family Lodge is more than just a hotel; it’s a family home with years and years of history in its walls. Mr. Bob showed us around and he shared some amazing stories and history facts about family and lodge 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Really worth visiting it 😊. Amazing 🤩
Food market in front of St. Andrew's churchThe Schrannenmarkt is a food market where local producers sell regional products 🥬🥨🧀🥕🍎🍐🍏🫐🌷. It is located around St. Andrew’s church, close to Panorama tours office. Already in 1906, the first farmers came from around the area and sold their self-made products. Today you can find up to 190 different sellers.
