Denn in diesem Jahr geht es im Kunstraum-Programm um Formen der Kommunikation – an den Rändern und jenseits der Sprache, um genauer zu sein: „Noisy tongues“ richtet den Fokus auf Phänomene des Vorsprachlichen und Nichtbegrifflichen, Arten des Sprechens und In-Beziehung-Tretens, die sich der Logik begrifflicher Kommunikation entziehen. Klingt erstmal noch unverständlich? Oftentimes, it is only a small step from order to chaos (and back). In her performance H13 prize-winner Katharina Ernst “took measure” of this intermediate space, which can sometimes expand as an entire universe. In her award-winning performance project “metrics”, Ernst delved deep into the cosmos of polyrhythms – what she came across? Von der Ordnung zum Chaos (und zurück) ist es oft nur ein kleiner Schritt. Diesen Zwischenraum, in dem manchmal ein ganzes Universum steckt, hat die H13-Preisträgerin Katharina Ernst in ihrer Performance “ausgemessen”. In ihrem preisgekrönten Performance-Projekt „metrics“ ist Ernst tief in den Kosmos der Polyrhythmik eingetaucht – worauf sie gestoßen ist? Music cannot change the world, but it can inspire us to think about it differently. 🎶 The winner of the H13 Prize 2024, artist and musician Katharina Ernst, is convinced of this. In our reel, she gives an insight into her musical-performative practice and her performance project “metrics”, for which she will be awarded the H13 Prize. In exactly three more days, on Friday, 22.11.2024, at 7pm, she will premiere the piece at the Kunstraum, followed by the award ceremony. We’re already looking forward

Not so demure: shine your (own) ultraviolet light!!! 🔦Bei der ORF Lange Nacht der Museen im Kunstraum, können Kinder* mit ultravioletten Taschenlampen Verborgenem nachspüren! 🌱Wer alle versteckten Maiglöckchen-Blätter finden kann, zum Aufleuchten bringt und auf der Kunstraum-Karte einzeichnet, darf sich auf eine süße (essbare) Überraschung freuen (18-22 Uhr).🍭😋

Not so demure: shine your (own) ultraviolet light!!! 🤩🔦 During the Long Night of Museums at Kunstraum, children*, can discover with ultraviolet flashlights what otherwise remains invisible in the dark. 🌱If you manage to find all the hidden lily of the valley leaves in the exhibition space, make them light up with your UV torch, and mark them on the Kunstraum map, a sweet (edible) surprise awaits you! (6-10pm) 🍭😋

“In a live performance, I have a feeling of holding time and space, and this alone influences the voice as well. My body sets the voice in dialogue with a technical infrastructure that in turn distributes it in space and creates links with the audience. (…) In Flare demure, voice is embodied by space, by light. Witt’s work “BOND” (2023) guides us back out into the urban experiences of young people. 🏭With teenagers from Bremen’s Gröpelingen district, Witt went in search of traces of migrant solidarity in the city’s history. Using archive documents, young people speculatively examine the chronicles of their district and develop their own images and stories of solidarity and togetherness. 🫶

Anna Witts Arbeit „BOND“ (2023) führt zurück in die urbanen Erfahrungswelten von Jugendlichen. 🏭 Zusammen mit Teenager*innen aus dem Bremer Stadtteil Gröpelingen hat sich Witt auf die Suche
nach Spuren migrantischer Solidarität in der Stadtgeschichte Bremens begeben. Anhand von Archivdokumenten setzen sich die Jugendlichen spekulativ mit der Vergangenheit ihres Bezirks auseinander, um davon ausgehend eigene Bilder und Geschichten solidarischen Zusammenseins zu entwickeln. 🫶

An intimate insight into a budding personality is found in Molly Soda´s work “97,612,436,291 bytes (98.43 GB on disk) for 15,108 items” (2022). It features a best-of from the artist´s private Photo Booth library (2014–2021): seven years of post-adolescence in digital highlights.🩷
In the group exhibition “All the feels!”, Soda juxtaposes three video works to illustrate the interplay and simultaneity of diverse emotional states and moments of online self-portrayal. What is authentic or staged here? 🤫Find it out.
