TIMING
If your Vienna Inner City experience looks like the picture below, it’s not bad luck – its BAD TIMING!
The extensive inner city pedestrian area is open for delivery trucks until 11:00 am.
Therefore, AVOID all sightseeing in that are earlier than 10:45am.
By the way, walking down the Graben from west to east is most rewarding because the cathedral will be lit by sunshine.

Best Schnitzel in Vienna by “falstaff”
Falstaff is an Austria/Viennese lifestyle magazine with great food-competence – especially in merging local traditions and international standards.

An UNDERRATED MUST in Vienna
The Liechtensteins are home based in Austria for close to 900 years and own much more land than their little mountain-dutchy covers (with an area of just over 160 square kilometers / 62 square miles and a population of 40,000).
With the beginning of the 20th century, they held the largest privately owned art-collection in Europe.
Today parts of the collection returned to their two palaces in Vienna.
Occasionally some parts are open for visitors – sometimes even for free.
Do a little research about opening times and savor art and wines from their cellars at the palace in 1090 Vienna.

We are done with consoling stranded Swifties – though it seems it was a mutually positive encounter.
Visitors came for Taylor but did not regret visiting Vienna – and we saw a gentle, friendly, positive side in “Uncle/Aunty Sam”.
Just mysterious – Taylor made no statement is totally absent from the media . . . which makes room for speculations that there were other reasons for the swift cancellation of the Vienna concerts. Health issues with Taylor???

In a nutshell
• Taylor Swift has given no signs of life after the concert cancellations in Vienna and seems to have gone completely into hiding.
• In any case, their trucks have already secretly left on Thursday morning. On the day on which the first of the three mega concerts should have taken place.
• Despite speculation about her whereabouts and her next steps, she remains a real phantom who is perfectly shielded.
• It is believed that she may have already flown to London, where her next shows are planned.

OK taking photos in Schoenbrunn palace!
Starting 1 Feb 2024, filming and photography will no longer be prohibited in the Schönbrunn Group buildings.
The use of flash, tripods, selfie sticks, and excessive posing is prohibited in the museum rooms of the Schoenbrunn Group. (Schoenbrunn palace, parts of Hofburg and some others).
Photographs and videos may only be used for private, non-commercial purposes.
It was already accepted for special events and became increasingly annoying for “normal” visitors, some of our guest refrained from a visit for that reason.
