What a cracking day at the Reservoir today! It almost felt like spring! Flat, calm waters glistening in the sun, plenty of active wildlife around and such a relaxing, positive vibe. Tomorrow’s weather is going to be the same, sunny and calm waters. We will be open from 9am- 4pm! We will have plenty of kayaks availiable so no need to book, just come on down to the Southern End of the Happy Valley Reservoir and meet us by the shoreline! …enjoy some scenery pics I took today.

Well these school holidays have been very quiet for us due to the wind! The rest of this week we will be closed and we’re keeping fingers crossed for Saturday and Sunday but so far it’s looking ‘iffy’. Despite that, it’s still great weather to rig the kids up snd going exploring around the reservoir or maybe try a new place you’ve never been before! There are loads of new saplings popping up and pretty winter flowers, as well as plenty of wildlife if you take a moment to be still, listen and then follow your instincts to find them. Happy hunting!

After 2 weeks of wind, we are back! The dark clouds are subsiding and there isn’t a breath of wind here today at the Happy Valley Reservoir so it’s a perfect day for beginners. No need to book, just head down to the Southern end and meet us at the waters edge. $25 ph singles, $40ph doubles.

We are closed today as im heading away to explore other parts of our beautiful state this week. We all need a little time away sometimes. Enjoy the sunshine and we will be back soon!

We are open from 1-4pm today, however it’s overcast and still quite windy so not recommended for beginners.

The wind will be dying down as the day progresses but picking up again tomorrow, which means that we will not be open for the public holiday.

So after all that rain we’ve had, the Swampys (our resident Purple Swamphens) decided the ground was too wet to stand on. Play ‘spot the Swampies’… how many can you see? 😂 Good thing they don’t live in swamps like water birds do 🤔😳🤦‍♀️ they’re always good for a laugh though!

We will be starting a little later today- hire available from 10.30am and conditions look good! We are currently experiencing website issues, so just come down if you’re wanting to paddle this weekend!

Heading into the cooler months we will remain open weekends from 9-4 both Sat and Sun and walk ins are welcome too.
Weekdays we will be open for bookings between 9-1pm daily, however if there are no bookings we won’t open so it will be hit and miss for anyone just wanting to walk in as the times will be sporadic. We’re pretty flexible so if you’re looking for a specific time/day outside of these times please ask as I’m generally happy to open up for you so long as I’m given a days notice! ☺️ We also offer kayaks for day hire if you’re going away so long as you have roof racks or a safe way to transport them.

Closing early today due to wind. Thanks to those who weren’t deterred today and still enjoyed a paddle! Tomorrow’s looking windy too so we recommend only experienced kayakers on Sunday.

We have just closed for the day as the weather is rolling in. The next 3 days are looking like perfect kayaking weather though! If you’re having trouble with booking on the website, just come down between 9am and 4pm Friday, Sat and Sun and we should have plenty of kayaks available- I’m hoping to fix the website issues tonight ☺️🤞

It’s turned out to be a lovely morning on the Reservoir today! The wind may still pick up this afternoon from about 2pm but sometimes we get lucky with a Southerly so we’ll be playing it by ear today. We have plenty of kayaks available so if you’re looking for something to do, come on down for a paddle!

Although we are normally open from 9-5 on weekends, we are closed this long weekend due to the wind. Hopefully next weekend will bring less heat and calm water 🤞 Stay cool everyone!
