One masterpiece made from many!

Last year our Year 7 students created beautiful multipurpose pouches in a collaboration between Creative Industries and Home Economics.

Displayed in an Oak frame, also made at the College, this stunning artwork is a fusion of the fabric offcuts from each Year 7 project, forming a cohesive piece that explores shape, colour, and the beauty of individuality coming together as one.

The Hall began the story of Kildare in 1966 and is a beloved part of our College's history, that has witnessed countless memories, milestones and achievements. In one way or another, the Hall has been part of everyone's Kildare journey, and we invite our community to join us for this event to honour its legacy and stand in the Hall one last time.

This celebration is not only to bid farewell to the Hall, but also to raise funds for the Lightbridge Centre - our new Performing Arts and Wellbeing Centre, set to open in 2026, coinciding with Kildare College's 60th Anniversary. This celebration is both a tribute to the past and an exciting development for the future, as we commemorate six decades of growth, dedication and vision.

Funds raised from ticket sales and the auction will go directly towards the Lightbridge Centre project. We are delighted to have the services of renowned auctioneer Bernard Booth at this fundraising event.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of nostalgia, reflection, and reconnection.

The spirit of Harmony Week was alive at Kildare with a week full of activities, from an inspiring assembly to engaging collaborative activities. The celebration culminated in a 'High Tea Around the World,' featuring an array of delicious treats made by our Living Justice | Living Peace Group and Chai and Chat Group, offering a global taste experience that brought the community together in a vibrant display of cultural harmony.

Our Year 8 Food Technology students are becoming pizza pros by creating a range of tasty pizzas from scratch in a fun, hands-on experience with Mattia's Pizza! From engaging demonstrations to baking the pizzas in the oven, students have been acquiring new practical and technical skills, all while enjoying their own delicious pizzas.

On Pi Day, our staff and students put their Pi knowledge to the test with a series of fun activities, including Pi bracelet making, Pi Eating, and a Pi recital competition! Congratulations to all the students for their impressive efforts in reciting Pi and well done to Isabelle (Year 8 ), who recited an incredible 80 digits - the highest number of the day.

As part of their Ecosystems and Biodiversity studies, our Year 11 Biology students headed to Port Noarlunga to explore a marine ecosystem up close! They engaged in snorkelling and reef walking, where they explored species adaptations, interactions, the richness of biodiversity, and the impact of human activities on the environment.

A splash of green filled Kildare College today as staff and students celebrated St Patrick's Day!

St Patrick and St Brigid are patron saints of Ireland and are well known for their roles in converting people to Christianity during their time.

With a mix of excitement and nervous energy, our Year 7 students embarked on their first Kildare College camp!

The theme, Cultivating Connections, came to life as they embraced each challenge, participated in activities, and supported one another along the way.

The Year 7 Camp was a fantastic opportunity for students to build connections with one another and with our Year 11 Peer Support Leaders, who provided exceptional encouragement and support throughout the experience.

The International Women's Day (IWD) theme, Accelerate Action, holds particular significance for girls' schools. It serves as a reminder to reflect on the importance of empowering young women and encouraging them to realise their full potential.

Our students attended the Tea Tree Gully IWD Event with Guest Speaker Fiona McIntosh, Australian Author, who shared her story and messages of inspiration. Also venturing to the Adelaide Secondary Youth Leadership Conference, students were immersed in self-discovery, empowerment, and leadership development. Today, students collaborated with each other creating an affirmation message board.

Celebrating the beginning of Lent, our College community enjoyed delicious pancakes yesterday for Shrove Tuesday with all funds raised to be donated to Caritas for Project Compassion. Today, our students engaged in an Ash Wednesday Liturgy acknowledging the beginning of the season of reflection and prayer.

Open Doors. Open Minds. Open Hearts. The theme of our Opening College Mass was a beautiful way to celebrate and reflect on our Core Value of Hospitality.

After the Mass, we acknowledged the leadership and dedication of our 2025 Student Leaders and Peer Support Leaders. We also celebrated our Year 7 students who were presented with a gift, while our Year 12 students received their Senior Badge, a symbol they will wear with pride throughout their final year of school.

The Year Level, Arts, Sports, and Living Justice | Living Peace Student Leaders from each House received their blessed badges, marking their leadership journey and showcasing their commitment to their leadership roles.

Ole! Our Year 10 Dance students have been treated to a unique learning experience, working with Flamenco expert and industry professional, Victoria Townsend from Casa de Flamenco.

Through four intense workshops, students have immersed themselves in the fierce, powerful rhythms and movements of Flamenco Dance, pushing their creativity and confidence in learning a cultural style to new heights.

Our students will perform a Flamenco Dance piece in our upcoming 2025 Dance and Music Production. Until then, enjoy this sneak peek!

Yesterday we were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our 2024 Semester 2 students at our Middle Years Academic Awards Assembly.

Our musicians' harmonies were beautiful, demonstrating their exceptional vocal techniques. Our Year 7 Scholarship Dancers who performed for the first time at Kildare, with some of our Year 8 Special Entry Dance Program students had the audience transfixed with their gracefulness and precision.

It was a wonderful occasion to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of our students.

Kildare College Café

Our Kildare College Cafe is a unique space designed to meet the developing needs and learning aspirations of our students. The initiative came to fruition in response to student feedback, making it clear the subject, Café Culture, is at the College to stay. Developed over 2024, the Cafe is an exciting upgrade to the College’s facilities, bolstering the Food and Hospitality area, featuring 2 large kitchens and a theory space. This space gives students the ability to work in a ‘café like’ setting with expansive benches, bar stools, table settings, commercial coffee machines and a servery. The Café also serves as a platform for community events, student-led initiatives and projects.
