Located in the heart of Holdfast Bay, the Glenelg Air-Raid Shelter was built in 1942 as part of a broader communication network established during WWII. Today, it has been transformed into an interactive exhibit space showcasing the rich wartime history of the area through photographs, artifacts and personal accounts from local residents who lived through those tumultuous times.
