Better streets, safer paths and easier connections. Moving Mitcham is all about making it easier for you to get around, but we need your input!
Moving Mitcham, our Integrated Transport Plan, aims to create a safer, more connected transport network for our community. Attend one of our Moving Mitcham Drop-in Sessions to hear about our plans, ask questions, and share your thoughts. Your ideas will guide our next steps.
Stop by Tiwu Kumangka, 2/4 Young Street, Blackwood, tomorrow from 6pm to 8pm and help shape our transport future. Can't make it tomorrow? We're holding another drop-in session at the Mitcham Memorial Library on February 12 from 6pm to 8pm.

We’re on a journey to a 100% renewable energy future and leading the charge in reducing emissions, supporting our community, and lowering living costs. Through innovative solar and battery programs and initiatives like the Mitcham Community Energy Program and Virtual Power Plant, we're making renewable energy accessible for everyone.
In partnership with councils like City Of Charles Sturt, City of Marion, Campbelltown City Council (SA) and City of Unley, we’re showing how local government can lead the way in sustainability and resilience.
Registrations for the next instalment of the Mitcham Community Energy Program will open on February 1, find out more → https://bit.ly/3PBEtNt
Merry Christmas from the Mayor, Councillors, and the team at the City of Mitcham! Have a wonderful day today and enjoy time with family and friends.
Fire danger season is kicking off a little earlier this year, commencing from tomorrow, November 15 thanks to higher temperatures, dry conditions, below average rainfall and below average fire activity over the past few years.
It's a good reminder to check if you are bushfire-ready! A great way to do so is by making the most of our free green waste days at the Lynton Garden Waste Drop-off Facility.

We’re moving into the final stages of a major infrastructure project at Smith-Dorrien Street, Hill Street and Haig Street in Netherby and Mitcham in conjunction with our contractor Beltrame Civil this month.
General Manager Engineering & Horticulture Dan Baker reflects on the outcomes of the project which includes a stormwater system upgrade and incorporates smart water design features to help manage local stormwater issues and future proof to mitigate against wider catchment issues.
This $4 million project was co-funded by the City of Mitcham and Federal Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
