To our valued guests, your health and safety is of the highest importance to us and we would like to provide you with an update regarding the evolving pandemic of the Corona Virus COVID-19.
Explore Whitsundays and the Whitsunday region as a whole remains largely unaffected by the Corona Virus at present. Currently, our tours will still be running as usual, but we ask that our guests be flexible and understanding.
In order to minimize all risks, Explore Whitsundays managers are closely monitoring all updates on the global effects of the Corona Virus and as such are following the advice and precautions suggested by health authorities such as WHO and Tourism Australia.
All of our vessel’s crew members have been and are being continually instructed with any changes and new precautions necessary. The highest levels of cleaning practices on every vessel are being maintained. Proper coughing/sneezing etiquette is being upheld and personal space respected. We have instructed any crew member developing flu-like symptoms to self-isolate.
If you yourself are feeling unwell or have any flu-like symptoms, or if you have any concerns at time of check-in, please talk to your check-in staff member. If any guests become unwell or show flu-like symptoms during a tour on one of Explore Whitsunday’s vessels, we will ask that they isolate themselves from other passengers and crew until it is possible for them to disembark the vessel.
We understand that this is unchartered territory and so we want to be as flexible as possible with you, our guests. If you need to change your booking, please speak to our reservations staff by phoning: +61 7 4967 7555. We ask that everyone has patience and know that we will assist anyone who needs it in due time.
