If you are an experienced cleaner and are able to work 9am - 3pm approximately, we can offer 15-20 hours per week with some weekends included. If you enjoy gardening, cleaning the pool and reception duties, I can add on extra hours. Happy to train the right person if you are confident and dedicated to working.
We do work in a team to help each other.

Today I saw a man distributing poppies stop a lady and ask if he could reposition her poppy. While doing so he told that lady she should wear the poppy on her left side (over her heart); the red represents the blood of all those who gave their lives, the black represents the mourning of those who didn't have their loved ones return home, and the green leaf represents the grass and crops growing and future prosperity after the war destroyed so much. The leaf should be positioned at 11 o'clock to represent the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, the time that World War One formally ended. He was worried that younger generations wouldn't understand this and his generation wouldn't be around for much longer to teach them.
I copied this from someone else. Please do the same to pass this knowledge on to those who don't know the meaning.🌺

Are you an experienced cleaner that would also like to work in reception and available on weekends?
I am looking for that special person to join the current cleaning staff. If you enjoy cleaning, can use a computer and enjoys greeting and helping guests, then this position will suit you. Weekend cleaning is a must (alternate weekends available) and 1 day in the office would be ideal. If you enjoy gardening then that will be a bonus to add more hours to the role.

Approximately 25 hours per week and I will train the right applicant for this responsible role. Local person preferred for long term role.

It is time for one of our staff to take leave and I am looking for an experienced housekeeper to fill her shoes and continue with long term employment. I will work with you cleaning the apartments as I understand it is hard work cleaning on your own.

Approximately, 20-25 hours per week, starting at 8.30am and generally finish by 2-3pm. I would need you to be available most days including weekends and where possible, we try to not work every weekend. I will aim to give you 2 days off per week.

If you are really talented and enjoy gardening, I can offer more hours in the garden.
ABN or wages at award rates + superannuation 9.5%.
I ask that you be reliable, trustworthy and dedicated and I will do the same for you. We work with AC on so it is comfortable in the humidity.

Tourism industry calls for North Qld travel bubble

The tourism industry is calling for a North Queensland bubble allowing unrestricted travel in the Cairns, Townsville, Whitsundays, Mackay and Outback regions by June 12 when Stage 2 COVID-19 restrictions start.

Regional Tourism Organisations Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ), Townsville Enterprise, Mackay Tourism, Tourism Whitsundays and the Outback Queensland Tourism Association are urging the State Government to lift the 250km restriction on recreational travel within North Queensland.
