Look at this for a stunningly beautiful humpback tail! This whale was first sighted here two days ago and it has one of the most distinctive and pretty tails I have seen. Each humpback whale has a unique pattern on the under-side of the tail, like a finger print. It allows us to follow them throughout their lives and learn more about where they go. This whale also became very curious today, coming right over to the boat to check us out. Gotta love humpbacks!

⚠️ Weekend Closure of Aquatics at ALAC due to the Albany Short Course Swim Carnival due to the Albany Short Course Swim Carnival

The City of Albany would like to advise patrons the aquatic facilities at the Albany Leisure & Aquatic Centre will not be available to the general public on Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July 2022.

The Albany Leisure & Aquatic Centre will re-open the aquatic facilities at 5.45am Monday 4th July 2022 resuming normal operations.
