Walk the Bibbulmun Track!
Just around the corner from stableBASE - a super easy coastal section of the track & awesome wow factor scenery. We headed out today from the Sandpatch Stairs towards the Sandpatch campsite & down to Little Grove. Views back to the windmills were stunning, big pod of surfing dolphins, native clematis flowering & vibrating bushes of chattering honeyeaters! Anzac & his humans were very happy!! Hope everyone is doing well & getting amongst it. 😍

The bees foraged out at Gull Rock to create this gorgeous honey from predominately the Marri Yate Eucalyptus. Keep it simple - use on your breakfast muesli, in your tea or on toast.

Our very first Harvest Day! Full day with the bees harvesting and extracting the beautiful Marri/Yate Honey the bees have been making over the past 6 months. Glorious watching it pour out of the spinner for the first time! Thanks to Dan from Ripple Farm Beekeeping who coached us through the first few frames & we were good to go. I seriously ate wayyyy to much toast & honey though - so delish! If all goes well there may be stableBASE homemade honey in the breakfast baskets soon... 🐝💛🐝

Bibbulmun Track - Tennessee Rd South (Lowlands) heading West.
Easy walking on coastal path with beautiful views. Cool fungi in the leaf litter, Bunny Orchids & wildflowers. Me, Tommy & the Kelpie took a lovely flask of tea and our fav biscuits for an afternoon womble not far from home. 💛

Tjuirtgellong (Lake Seppings). Enjoyed a blissful easy walk with 2 lovely folk, this walk is a birdwatchers paradise. I couldn't take my eyes of the stunning Albany Bottlebrushes though and the bees digging in like there was no tomorrow. So much to see at this time of the year - especially the amazing fungi. This one here on the tree trunk is horses hooves! June & July are booked but there are some spots in August. Be Quick!

March! The last hot month of Meertilluc & the final flowering weeks of the marvellous Marri. The hives were bursting - glorious smells, chockers full of bees. You can see them spilling out of the front before we popped the supers on top. Quick stop on the way out to pick up supplies from HQ Ripple Farm Beekeeping. Always so informative catching up with head beekeeper Daniel & a great place to visit when you next stay at StableBASE. 💛

Oh my giddy aunt! What a fab day of orchid hunting & it's only the start of the season. Come stay with us and we can share with you some of our fav orchid spots. These beauties were found close to Mt Barker followed by great coffee and lunch at the The Grocery Store Cafe' .
