Spencer Suites Albany is a circa 1887 building originally designed to house workers from the local steam ship company. The property has a varied background and John and I feel fortunate to have located this building and had the opportunity to refurbish it and offer it to the public as short stay accommodation. We invite you to visit us and enjoy not only the surroundings but the many opportunities to explore the Great Southern.

Looking for whales? Today whales were spotted off the whaling station and we observed 3 Pygmy Blues and one frisky breaching whale off Cheynes Beach. The Blues were heading west toward Albany.

What a great day for tourists visiting Amazing Albany, 24 degrees in the middle of May. Our farmers do need some rain asap but we continue to enjoy great autumn weather.

We sadly report the loss of our beloved George. Many of our customers and friends have met George in the carpark at Spencer Suites Albany. George loved the 4 pm ball game and enjoyed many pats from everyone. Regular visits to Haz Beans and walks on the waterfront were another favourite. At 15 he was a grand old man in the dog world but his health declined over the last few months. We will miss him.

Hi to all our friends of Spencer Suites Albany. Today is our sixth anniversary of opening for business. During the last six years we have had over 3000 stays by wonderful local, interstate and international visitors. We continue to improve and refine our offering to ensure a unique stay in an historic but comfortable setting. Our 1886 building has withstood the ravages of time and we aim to see it continue to be an important part of Albany history.
We thank everyone who has stayed and the many local businesses and trades that have helped us preserve and develop our lovely home.
