In the past couple of months my focus has shifted from predominantly pen and ink drawings to working with acrylics and producing bright, bold and happy floral pieces. I’ve never painted more in my life, completing at least one new piece a week 😅

This is a taster of what’s to come but watch this space!!! I’ve got some very exciting products that I’m launching later today that will be available and later in the month during the Art Trail.

“If Mothers Were Flowers, I’d Pick You” started as an idea in a passing conversation between Mum and I. At first I wondered “how?”, with only a month or 2 to prepare, we could make it happen but with lots of hard work and the support of family we pulled our very first collaborative, mother/daughter exhibition together. Mums’ pieces, , are all named after words meaning mother or grandmother. Titles such as MAIMEÓ (Irish Grandmother) and EMA (Estonian Mother) can be found exhibited. I titled my pieces with personality attributes commonly associated with mothers. Loyal, Patient and Intuitive to name a few. We wanted to offer an exhibition just in time for Mother’s Day to honour the amazing women in our lives and to provide an opportunity for people to purchase some local art and giftware if something caught their eye!
We are so happy that we were able to bring our exhibition to reality and have our work showcased side by side in the beautiful space at The Fitz. We are very humbled and extremely grateful to everyone who came along and supported us at our opening night on Friday. It’s fair to say it was a big success! We’d like to make special mention to the following people for their input and support
