Hollywood Bound National Dance Championships Hollywood Bound, is the sister competition for Showcase National Dance Championships

Hollywood Bound will be produced by a highly trained and professional team under the Direction of Peter Oxford that has set the highest standards of Dance competitions in Australia and NZ under the same concept and quality that SHOWCASE has been producing since 1994 to meet the needs of the Australian Dance Culture. The carefully planned concept behind Hollywood Bound is to continually give more o

pportunities to Dancers from all over Australia and NZ in a professionally produced competition to perform for not only National Titles winning up against the Nations Top Dancers, but also the amazing prizes on offer, including major prizes of exclusive teacher trips to Hawaii for EVERY winning group act in "Battle of the Stars" and for the biggest prize EVER for groups in Australian Dance history of $20,000 in travel credit for the overall winning group act to travel to Hollywood. This fantastic award is not only a huge and major prize for the Dance competition Industry in Australia but another first by Peter Oxford to give more dancers the opportunity to travel abroad and expand their education in Dance.

*Groups for the $20,000 Hollywood prize will be selected at regionals to progress into the "Winning group studio of the year category” for Nationals to allow for your studio plenty of time to prepare your winning act!

MEET THE JUDGES - AMY FITZPATRICK

Amy began her education in singing, dancing and acting at age 5, studying all areas of performing arts. She has worked professionally in Australia and overseas along side the likes of John Farnham, Kylie Minogue, The Living End, James Blundell, and the late Doc Neeson. With a passion for Music theatre, Amy has been a regular on the stage for over 20yrs and is a Multi Award winning Choreographer.

She is vocally trained in classical and music theatre and is qualified in Classical Ballet (R.A.D), Jazz (I.D.T.A), Tap (I.D.T.A) and is a certified PBT instructor. Amy has been teaching for over 25yrs and directed her own Dance and Performing Arts Centre in Canberra with past students still working in the industry both in Australia and Internationally.

Amy is a sought after National and International Adjudicator of 20yrs experience and is a proud member of the Australian Dance Adjudicators Association. She takes great pride in training and nurturing young performers to reach their full potential.

MEET THE JUDGES - BRAD GREEN

Brad has been studying all facets of Performing Arts for over 30 years, which has seen him live his life long dream as a performer and educator.

He has appeared in television advertising campaigns for Anytime Fitness, KFC, Kia Cars, National Rugby League, Sky News, Flip Cameras, Big Brother, eBay as well as Ch 7, Ch 9 & Ch 10.

Brad successfully auditioned for a featured role in Dein Perry’s Bootmen as well as appearing in the feature films Happy Feet 1, Happy Feet 2 & the upcoming Rebel Wilson Film “The Deb”

Brad has had the opportunity to work along-side some of Australia’s most sort after choreographers including The Squared Division, Kelley Abbey & Cameron Mitchell which has seen him travel and perform all over the world.

As well as a performer, Brad finds his passion in teaching and inspiring tomorrows generation of young performers. He has a special flair for teaching and bringing the best out with every student, as seen in his show stopping choreography. This has seen him create for events such as Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Mardi Gras, School Spectacular, Showcase National Dance Championships, World Dance Movement as well as creating awe inspiring routines that have gone on to win a multitude of awards and titles.

Brad is also the Resident Choreographer for the Australian Nation Dance Championships, creating the awe inspiring opening number for the Battle of the Stars for numerous years

MEET THE JUDGES - LISA MAREE BARNES

Lisa-Maree Barnes is now a registered and fully qualified teacher and Examiner. She teaches full time at her own studio after studying classical ballet full-time under Tanya Pearson with the ‘Sydney City Ballet’ School and Company, Lisa followed a career travelling the world with various Cabaret and Musical Theatre productions. Performed with Dance Encore productions throughout Asia. Lisa also has a creative flair with costumes and design, manifesting in her co-owning a costume business.

MEET THE JUDGES - MITCHELL FISTROVIC DOIDGE

Mitchell is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. Mitchell’s most recent credits include Frozen, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever; the 10th anniversary celebration tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert and the Australian premiere of Disney’s Aladdin.
Further credits include Hugh Jackman’s Broadway to Oz; Tommy Arbunt in Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom the Musical; the 10th anniversary Australasian tour of Wicked; Neleus in the original Australian cast of Mary Poppins; Revenge is Sweeter tour supporting The Veronicas, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Oliver!

Television credits include Dami Im’s Eurovision Sound of Silence, Vanessa Amorosi’s Mr Mysterious video clip, Carols by Candlelight, Australia’s Got Talent, The X-Factor, The TV Week Logie Awards supporting Jessica Mauboy and The Rogue Traders.

MEET THE JUDGES - PETER GILL

Peter Gill, began his international career after graduating from the Australian Ballet School. In the United States, he performed alongside stars like Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, and Todrick Hall, appearing in major films, television programs, and award shows, including the Grammy and Academy Awards.

He also wowed audiences in Las Vegas productions such as Steve Wynn’s ShowStoppers and VEGAS! The Show before joining the inaugural cast of Step One Dance Company in New York.

Now based back on the Mid North Coast, Peter teaches and choreographs full-time, specialising in Jazz, Lyrical, and Technique. As a seasoned judge and mentor, he is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of performers.

The story of Hollywood Bound National Dance Championships

Hollywood Bound has had another successful year with countless numbers of Dancers taking part. Hollywood Bound has proved itself to be the one of the most popular dance competitions in dancers Australia wide, our glitzy and very classy national finals are a testament of what Hollywood Bound can produce and have so many talented dancers coming back for more.

Our event has provided endless opportunities to countless numbers of dancers over the past 25 years. We have taken children to Canada, Asia the United States and now Europe, and now having awarded over $2 million dollars’ worth of cash prizes. Hollywood Bound will continue to produce for the Australian Dance community not only a high level event, but also a fun and educational experience in a safe environment.
