Remember.....when holidays at the seaside were simple and fun? When Dad could fish, Mum could relax with a book and the kids could walk barefoot to the shop for an iceblock or to the beach to play cricket, when the family actually talked and laughed and played games together. Recapture the simple pleasures at Sea Shanties, Amity Point. All the fun of camping without the hassles of erecting a ten

t or packing the Esky. Eight basic cabins shaded by hundred year old Pines and Pandanus on an acre of absolute waterfront. Ideal for fishing and snorkelling. Quiet and secluded. Spectacular sunsets, birds, dolphins and usually a koala. Easy walking distance to beaches, shop, tennis court, playground and boat ramps ......and yes, well behaved pets are welcome too ! Sea Shanties
For more than 50 years our cabins have hosted hundreds of people seeking simple pleasures and a hassle free "get away from it all" holiday. Fishermen, divers and snorkellers adore our waterfront location and families enjoy being able to relax with kids and pets on our acre of grass and shady trees. Sea Shanties is still known locally as "the old fishing village" or by its former name of "Amity Point Holiday Village". Our regular visitors will appreciate that the best features of the village have been retained but we have changed our name to reflect the improvements to both cabins and facilities. Our cabins are newly renovated, simple but comfortable with a queen size bed and a variety of divans or double bunks in each cabin. They are fully equipped with refrigerator, hot plates and oven, cutlery and crockery - just bring your own sheets and towels or organise with our office to hire these. All cabins have new en-suite bathrooms and direct access to our grassy waterfront.

Cuteness overload, however not a cute story behind it, we can’t stress enough why we make the rules of dogs must be on a lead when they are here. This baby and mum got separated due to a dog, we are keeping a close eye on mum and Bub so they can reunite, if she doesn’t find him, little boy Joey goes to mainland for care and due to rules that I don’t understand, doesn’t get to return and grow up in the wild on Stradbroke
