The local convenience store and Rufus King Seafood are both within a short stroll and you can also walk to the popular Amity Point jetty to go dolphin spotting any afternoon on dusk. The beach adjacent to the jetty offers a swimming enclosure for family-friendly paddles in the calm aqua water. Back at Amity Seaside, you can spot more dolphins, turtles and even the odd whale in our 'backyard', while many local koalas also call our gum trees their home. Grab a picnic rug, some coldies and your favourite people, and enjoy impressive Amity Point sunsets from our back lawn, adjacent to the rock wall, as the twinkling lights of Brisbane emerge to replace another sunny Straddie day. The rock wall is also a local fishing haven. Throw a line in from our backyard and pull in bream, for example, or cast colourful squid jigs to enjoy some of the freshest calamari rings you'll ever taste! On one side of our home is a shady kids' park featuring newly upgraded play equipment as well as a basketball court and a public tennis court. On the other side is a private tree-lined creek where those beloved Amity Point koalas are often seen clambering through the greenery on their way to our backyard to score fresh gum leaves from the mature trees there. Amity Seaside offers modern fittings and furnishings and a well-stocked kitchen and comfortably sleeps eight, making it the perfect option for families looking for a relaxing getaway. 'Straddie' is just a 45-minute ferry ride from Brisbane's bayside but once you're here, you'll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of life. Amity Seaside offers true island bliss.
