Warburton Trail Fest is on like Donkey Kong – 3 days of trail running awesomeness over the 8-10 March long weekend.

We got long runs, short runs, hills, flats, running fast, cruising, walking, trekking, and just being in it. Night runs, lilo "runs" (trust us, this does make sense even if it sounds a little cray-cray), a dash-4-cash, and a leg of the Salomon Running AU / NZ Golden Trail Series. Golden as! 🏆

New year... time get your entry into the biggest, friendliest, funnest trail running Fest goin. Certainly the only one with a river lilo derby. Seminar and film announcements coming soonest. The pub night run is on! The Lumberjack 50km is a perfect kickstart to the year. As is the three thong Thang dash for cash.

Then ten days across the belly of England on an adventure that immerses us in the true Blighty ... join us !

Chuffed to help raise a few $ for Safv Centre this year via the colour and vibe of Black Diamond Afterglow Night Trail Run!

Runners donning their colourful nail polish meant the event threw in $1000 at $5 donated for every polished person, plus individuals raised a whopping$2463 and thanks to Flowstate Brewers and Distillers for donating $250 - $2 / drink.

We loved that Afterglow this year had real weight of meaning, that it got conversations happening around a major issue in our community , that of gender based violence . We look forward to Afterglow growing its commitment to ongoing support for the cause and once again being part of Respect Victoria 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

Special thanks to Steph at Surf Coast Shire Council for organising the nail polish and to the Surf Coast Events team and Mayor Mike Bodsworth for their awesome support.

Thanks to all those who participated , got nails painted and especially to those individuals who went to the effort of fundraising via the event.

We love how all you runners embrace the spirit of Afterglow and while we deliver the event, you all deliver the smiles and vibe. Thanks for coming!

MASSIVE THANKS TO ALL OUR VOLLIES - from forerunners, to sweeps to marshals and all the awesome peeps on aid stations including Surf Coast Trail Runners and Melton City Runners..



120 of you good unicorns painted your nails, plus we auctioned off a rare unicorn hoodie for $100 and a bunch of you donated cash directly resulting in $770 raised for The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre as part of our efforts and involvement in Respect Victoria's against gender based violence.

Tour de Trails will also throw in another $300 to tip over a grand plus we are yet to see how much adult hydration was purchased via Flowstate for an extra $2 / can donation from them!

So we reckon we will have tipped into $1500 fundraising all up. Awesome effort you unicorns!

We have an URGENT call out for anyone with 1-3 hours they could possibly spare for a bit of volunteering this Saturday night in Torquay, Surf Coast for our Afterglow Night Trail Run.

We have come up well short mainly of marshals, like this awesome bloke, to keep our runners safe and on course.

Shifts tend to be 1 hour to 3 hours absolute max (usually 1-2). The event is from 6.30-11.30pm however most shifts are in the 8pm - 10pm bracket.

4. the event is also participating in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence ( The Official 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign) so you are helping a good cause and helping keep people safe!

Also, do good! For every runner who collects a bib with their nails painted (bright mandatory, obvs) we will donate $5 toThe Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre.

Do a half marathon (21km) from Point Addis back to The Salty Dog Cafe Torquay, Fisherman’s Beach. A ‘half glow’ 13km from Southside near Bells Beach, or one of two 5km ‘mini-glow’ loop course at Fisherman’s Beach.

The second 5km event is run under the ‘Body Positive Stomp’ banner with our mates at Escaping Your Comfort Zone, a non-timed run or walk that welcomes entry-level trailites and encourages everybody to join in without discrimination, judgement, or expectation, no matter your ability or experience.
