I thought it was time for a quick re-introduction and a bit about me [Kate, your host] ;)

I'm deep in the throws of mum life to 2 tween girls with endless km's in the car each week for school bus runs and sport commitments.

Running multiple business ventures with my main man and inhouse earthworks operator - he's the one doing all the big jobs around our farm for me (which he loves deep down) - ha !

When I'm not being an Airbnb super host, I’m hosting weddings at Wirreanda Farm and organising other large scale events including the largest regional festival in May each year. I have been in the events and wedding industry for over 20 years - eeek - feeling old !

I've made 2023 the year for prioritising a slower pace and just being present, and it’s going ok.

Pink is the colour of my wardrobe and I love a bit of punch and personality

My fav wine is Rose' just to carry on the Pink theme

Latte is my coffee and our new Cavoodle Hazel has completed our family and she thinks she's a farm dog

So that's me and I'm looking forward to having you all stay with us soon.

Located on the Avoca River and a 5 minute walk to the main street of Avoca, featuring the Award Winning Avoca Hotel, cafes, art spaces, gift shops and more.

Suited to the Corporate traveller, families or groups travelling. Faraday on Avoca is your ideal home away from home. The Pyrenees Wineries are all located within close driving proximity throughout Avoca, Moonambel, Redbank, Crowlands and surrounds, offer Cellar Door experiences and some of the best views of the region.

The majestic Avoca River is located at the back of the property and is fully fenced. The playground is a 2 minute walk away and located on the banks of the river. An easy stroll or ride for the kids. Avoca also offers a public pool in the Summer months.

The region offer plenty to experience including walks and touring within the Pyrenees Ranges, galleries, undiscovered villages and plenty of events including; the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival, Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally and the iconic Avoca Races held on ANZAC Day and Caulfield Cup day each year.

Avoca is located under 2 hours or 180km North West from Melbourne, 45min from Ballarat and just over 1 hour from Bendigo.

Faraday on Avoca features a fully stocked house with everything you need, modern appliances throughout including; dishwasher, coffee machine, Large Screen TV, DVD, CD player, washing machine and offers split system heating and cooling and ducted gas heating.

The property caters for families with plenty of toys, games and activities available. We offer the following for young travellers:

You will have full access to the house, except the garage which is not accessible. Ample parking is available at the house for up to 4 cars if required.

Other things to note

As this is a brand new property the backyard is currently being transformed for our guests to enjoy for many years. It will not have any impact on your stay.
