2017 Bairnsdale Secondary Collage Band Tour to QLD.
Well we are upto day four and all going well so far.
The students are have a fantastic trip they are really enjoying it. We have covered lots of ground in four days. We departed Bairnsdale at five am Friday morning and traveled to Dubbo. It was a long hot day. Then day two we departed Dubbo Bright and early for the long haul to the Gold Coast. About 925 km. Sunday was a bit of a relaxing day. we went to Dreamworld for the day followed by a beautiful tea at a club in Palm beach. The Band preformed at the Palm beach state school this morning.
Then it was off to Byron Bay.
The Band played at Byron Bay high school this afternoon. Then it was off to the Byron Bay Lighthouse. It was a bit of a hair razzing trip to get there but well worth it. Not to mention the trip down lol. We then had free time shopping and looking around Byron Bay. 😊🤓😉
Well sad day Friday the June 27th, 2014 the old faithful Paynesville Town Service Bus 'The Cub'(fleet No#4) drove our of the depot with its new owner. On its way to Murwillumbah NSW/QLD Terry 'The new owner' gave me a call Saturday afternoon to say it was at its new home in Murwillumbah safe and sound 23 hours later. It is starting a new school run going from Uki to Murwillumbah instead of retiring as we thought she would and becoming a motorhome. At 1.3 million kilometres when she left, she has been an amazing little bus served us and the Paynesville/Bairnsdale communities very well!! Good luck with it Terry I'm sure she'll serve you well!!
Hahaha how funny is this lol
