☀️ Thailand's Prime Minister has announced that Thailand’s borders will open to travellers for quarantine-free travel from select “safe” countries from November 1, including Australia.

Proof of vaccination, travel insurance with Covid-19 cover and proof of two negative PCR tests and you're set to explore the Land of Smiles!

✈️While Australian travellers are still waiting for an exact date for the re-opening of international travel, Prime Minister Scott Morrison, has said Australia’s borders could re-open for vaccinated travellers in NSW from as early as 1 November, with proposed seven-day home quarantine on return to Australia.

A quick update for your Friday.

From Monday 9th November you will be able to find me at the Wendouree Store.

Today will be the last day of open trade at the Sturt Street store with our doors closing for the last time at 5pm.

I would like to thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your holiday plans and memories, as well as the support for the last 8.5 years as Escape Travel and Flight Centre!

I hope that I am able to continue assisting with your future travel plans from the Wendouree store.

At a time when international travel is on pause, it is still possible for you to take the world’s most unforgettable sightseeing flight, only available from Australia, with no luggage or passport required!

The Qantas 787 Dreamliner has been privately chartered and will do a total of seven flights to the white continent from November this year through to February 2021, from most capital cities.

Each flight is 12-14 hours and provides a full day Antarctic experience, with polar expeditioners on board to talk through the extraordinary environment on view.

Should your Antarctica flight not be able to depart due to government restrictions on travel, a full refund is available.

Perhaps this is the year for something a little different?!

Today Qantas retires the last of their 747 jets. The queen of the sky’s, who’s entrenched in the memories of many Australians first overseas adventures.

On her journey to retirement she said her goodbye to Australia by marking out a flying kangaroo in the sky!

It is sad that as company a post like this had to be shared.

I'd just like to extend a big thank-you to those of you who have been so kind with your words & patient with us as we work through everyone's bookings.

We are down to 2 staff in-store and are working our hardest to assist all our customers.

We are 100% with you all emotionally, as travel lovers ourselves, we've had our own trips cancelled & postponed to all corners of the world; Japan, Peru, Argentina & Brazil, Africa, New Zealand, Indonesia & more.

We can't wait to travel and know plenty of you are itching to as well.

COVID-19 is a pretty scary thing when you listen to all the reports that are constantly bombarding us from the media.

There’s lots of talk around how many cases we have, but not a lot being said about those who have recovered.

This virus has recently hit rather close to home for me with my brother Kieran testing positive.

I’d like to share with you all his first hand account of what battling this virus was really like.

Hi guys,

A quick update today.

The office is currently open with reduced hours of 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and Saturday 9am - 4pm. We are practicing social distancing and regular cleaning to ensure our customers and ourselves are staying safe.

Where possible I would suggest phone appointments or communication via email.

I am currently working my way through the last of April departures and will be working through May this week.

Again I appreciate your patience and understanding during this time!!
