Hello Friends and Happy Dia de los Muertas!

Since I was a young child and first heard of Dia de los Muertas, I've been fascinated - how lucky I am to celebrate my day of birth with a day that celebrates life and the memories of those we lived life with!

In the heart of Mexico, amidst the vibrant colors, spicy aromas, and the lively Mariachi melodies, lies a celebration unlike any other - Día de los Mu***os, the Day of the Dead. It's a magical fiesta where death dances with life, and the spirits of the departed come back to visit their loved ones.

Picture a world where death is not feared, but embraced with open arms. A world where skulls smile, marigolds bloom, and altars are adorned with the favorite foods and mementos of those who have passed. This is the essence of Día de los Mu***os.

The story begins long ago when the Aztecs, with their intricate belief system, celebrated the goddess Mictecacihuatl, the Lady of the Dead. In their culture, death was an integral part of life, and they honored it in the most extraordinary way.
