Little Piggies Playgroup

Little Piggies Playgroup Little Piggies is a fun, creative, farm playgroup for children 1 to 5 years old. Learn about animals and life on the farm in a friendly, safe environment.
(18)

Exciting and educational activities for children aged 1-5 years old set on the rural farmyard setting of Rain, Hayne and Shine Farmyard. Sessions run for 45 minutes and generally cover songs, rhymes, stories, arts and crafts. There is a different focus each week with a Farm theme and we learn about animals, how to care for them and how to feed them. Run by a dedicated teacher with over 20 years of

teaching experience these sessions make the most of the outdoor facilities and farm and native animals available. Bring your gumboots and jackets as we go behind the scenes to see how a real farm runs, or enjoy our specially created indoor playgroup area. Families are invited to stay and explore Rain, Hayne and Shine Farmyard after the playgroup session is finished. Price for session include:
*One Playgroup Session
*Entry to Rain, Hayne and Shine Farmyard
*Entry for an adult when accompanying a child to playgroup

We have a specific undercover playgroup area but we also like to make the most of outdoor areas available to us, weather permitting. We also like to get 'hands on' and some of our activities often require a little mess! As such, old clothes and gumboots are recommended. Our topics are seasonal and subject to late change as we like to make the most of the exciting events that happen on the farm such as baby piglets or lambs being born.

Tuesday and Wednesday’s groups

Another beautiful week exploring the bush land area. We went on a snake walk to learn about how to react when we see a snake in the bush.
Our ponies were very hungry and loved their snacks Thankyou!
Lots and lots and lots of marshmellows were cooked and eaten!
We made some really cool magic yarn sticks and looked at all the interesting items found in nature like snake skins, bones and feathers.
What was you favourite part of this week?

It was the perfect day for roasting some marshmellows and having fun in the bush land!

This might be a good time to remind everyone that as long as groups aren’t too crowded you are welcome to make a catch up day if you or your little one is sick.
Please just shoot me a message or text (often I can’t answer calls) to double check availability and if you don’t hear back assume it’s all good! I will always try to respond it’s just that sometimes reception is dodgy at the farm or I might be busy with school drop off!
Times are Monday 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30
Tuesday 9:30 and 10:30
Wednesday 9:30 and 10:30

Looks like this week is a good one for CAMP FIRE WEEK!
For those that haven’t been before you will be picked up by the tractor and driven down to our bush land area where we will spend the session toasting marshmellows and doing bushcraft activities.
Please make sure you’ve all gone to the toilet before getting down there!
Oh and boots! Wear boots!
Looking forward to sharing this fun event with you. 🦆🐴🐄🐑🐖

Yummy saltana scones with jam and cream. Made with fresh butter and buttermilk.
Now the great debate, do you put the jam on first or the cream? I’m definitely a jam first gal!

Wednesday at the farm cuddling ducklings, feeding the farm birds (and Geraldine the emu!).
We made butter by shaking cream until it separated into butter and buttermilk. Did you all like your taste for fresh butter and homemade bread?
See you next week for more farm fun. Remember your gumboots as it is still very muddy!

Tuesday fun at the farm. We cuddled ducklings and fed the big birds. We also tried freshly made butter and bread.
