In 3 months time the Channel country will be looking incredibly spectacular, anyone who would like to see this magnificent sight from the air can give me a call.
Murray Darling Scenic Flights are now taking bookings for this autumn / Winter. Birdsville via Innamincka and the Dig Tree over the Channel Country home via Lake Eyre and The Flinders Rangers, as soon as the weather cools down a bit. I can customise your trip to suit you.

Great trip to Lake Mungo in the Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area yesterday. Can you spot the beautiful Western Grey Kangaroo in the shadows? They are a beautiful creature with smoky dark eyes and red gold highlights. The weather is cooling down and from now on is the best time of year to travel to Mungo.

Sunrise over Lake Tyrrell. Wishing you all safe and wonderful Christmas. Pete is taking a break for a few days but will be back on board on the 28th to share some skyward adventures with you, including special sunrise flights out of Swan Hill or fly in trips to the aviation museum at Tocumwal . Reed beds bird hide, Murray Valley National Park, just out of Mathoura. Flew over here with some travellers last week just after had visited with a group of artists. Great to be able to share this Ramsar listed wetland of international importance with people, from the air and from the ground. Our delta is such an important bio region.

Pretty in Pink.

The translucence of the salt layers
as they build up each time there is
a new flow of water into the lake.

The pink comes from a combination
of salt tolerant algae and bacteria
that produce red pigments to
protect themselves from the sun.

The algae produces beta-carotene.
