Sweden’s largest wind farm, the 179 turbine Markbygden Ett, is facing bankruptcy, with debts of €530 million. The Chinese-owned company has a long-term contract till 2040 with Norwegian industrial group Hydro but in the current market situation, the contract means that Markbygden Ett is selling electricity at a loss. The Swedish Tax Agency opposes a reconstruction, saying the Chinese should take the consequences of a failed “economic investment abroad”.

The banning of Australia Day merchandise was a really bad commercial decision. Are Woolworths becoming an antipodean Bud Light? The over inflated egos on the international green grocers board of directors are taking a nose dive. These cosmopolitan urban elites are being schooled in the economics of nationalism by patriots across this wide brown land. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. Oi, oi, oi. Boycott Woolies. Keep the pressure on.
