This unique heritage centre is not just a treasure trove of history but also a place designed with accessibility front of mind.

- Designed to be accessible, with a drop-off points or designated parking at the door, automatic doors, ramps, wide open spaces around exhibits & tactile railings

- We have accessible amenities for mobility and parental needs

- Registered assistance dogs are welcomed and can roam pre/post visit at the recreational areas around

You'll be entertained by the interactive displays and live a different story around every corner with buttons to push, levers to pull, tunnels to crawl through and animals to search for. The Centre is a collection of experiences that allow you to enjoy and appreciate the history of Beaconsfield and the Tamar Valley. We invite you, your family and friends to "come & play"!

The Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre invites you to come & play with our history. Stories come alive through interactive displays that allow you to work the world’s largest apple peeler, experience the charm of writing a letter with ink and pen just like great-grandma used to, or even climb partway up the headframe to enjoy the view over the Tamar River.
