“What an absolutely beautiful weekend at Eighteen Mile Cottage! We spent two wonderful nights enjoying this lovely property and wish we didn't have to leave. Jan greeted us on arrival with a friendly and welcoming smile, making sure we were settled and knew a few things about the property. We were left for the rest of our stay in complete privacy, enjoying the bubbling creek for afternoon swimming & a wine on the huge covered deck as the sunset each evening. The outlook is really lovely, overseeing the cows as they did their thing throughout the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the proximity to local hiking and walking trails, exploring the local area with ease. Being tucked away from the world, we truly loved our stay and would happily return again. Thank you for having us!”

‘Grahams Hut’ and surrounds
Grateful for the provision of rain to replenish the property and beyond. 🙏🏻
Our remaining cattle had near ‘cleared the decks’ with what the pastures held, and as the cattle prices had fallen significantly, its a real relief to receive the drops we’ve had so we can keep them to hopefully fatten for longer.

Cattle and Cottage 🎞️

Farming life certainly has its ups and downs. So quickly lush paddocks can dwindle in dryer months, and the price of cattle drop significantly. May steady, replenishing rain come again soon. 💦🙏🏻🌿

Great to see guests recently in the paddock making ever effort to woo the cattle, even with singing and yodeling! 👏🏻🎶 The cattle were curious though cautious. 😁
