NT - Regional Victorians allowed, Metro ‘Before Xmas’
South Australia - ‘Coming weeks’
Queensland - ‘Maybe December 1’
WA - ‘Never ever’

For the first time in months, Victorians will soon be allowed to return to Tasmania.

Amazing to see Virgin Australia find a buyer and will be flying on after the pandemic. This is a great result for all Australia but especially Virgin’s employees, frequent flyers and ticket credit holders.

Virgin 2.0 is going to be a new mid-market options for Australian’s that will give us even more choice. Think of how Grill’d Burgers fit into the market, they are not fine dining (Qantas) but definitely more classy than McDonalds (Jetstar) and this is what Virgin will offer!

Let’s hope this means $399 return flights to Bali, that give you a sandwich, a beer and leave on time!🍺

Very exciting news about Rex expanding their network!

More competition will inevitably drive prices down. Lets just hope Virgin can find a buyer now!

A $200m warchest and a fleet of Airbus or Boeing jets would see Rex become Australia's new challenger airline.

One positive from this crazy time is with historically low fuel price and demand, we will most likely see some crazy cheap fares!

These cheap fares will likely be on the most competitive routes, where multiple different airlines fly.

Don’t be surprised if you can get to LA for $500 return or Bali for $200 return in 2021!

Qantas boss Alan Joyce has said the airline’s budget arm Jetstar could cut Sydney to Melbourne airfares to as low as $19 to stimulate passenger demand once COVID-19 travel restrictions ease.

Really tough time in the travel industry and especially for everyone working for Virgin Australia. Let’s hope they can come out the other side and continue to flying Australians. Now more than ever, we cannot afford a monopoly in our aviation industry.

It is really important that we read through the click bait headlines at a time like this. Virgin have enter voluntary administration but have full intentions of continuing to operate and coming out the other side.
