A little heads up for people who have been brain washed into believing I do my best to keep tourist /fisherman away from my home town.. People might have noticed my posts the last few years about not being allowed to sponsor ANY fishing competitions in Bermagui. After 8 years of trying, I eventually gave up. people would also notice my brand name change in recent years. This was to keep the peace in town as another business wanted to be the fishing headliner for social media in town.. So now I'm being asked to sponsor other Competitions up and down the coast and I'm happy to help. With over 300k combined followers, the publicity I can give fishing comps is priceless. Now people need to ask themselves.... why would a competition in my home town of Bermagui, not want that publicity ?? It does not make sense.. I'm really hopeful that the majority of visitors, fishos ect , can see that doesn't make any sense what so ever.. so when I hear I keep people away from bermi by not posting, these are the reasons. Rejection from every single comp in town. None stop behind the scenes verbal abuse from a certain local entity. Being sent messages from a certain entity that they want(I quote) they are the ones who need to keep there finger on the pulse of the south coast and I shouldn't be posting fishing reports from Bermagui (end quote.
I started this page as promoting my beautiful home town of Bermagui. I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong by beating someone to the punch when doing local fishing reports..Not on purpose, but I'm always on the water , and have lots of friends on the water. Surly this helps local, ect . Shame it upsets a couple of egos.
Even major sponsors of the local comp can't understand. One of the biggest cash sponsors was told(I quote ) If you are a friend of trapman, you are not welcome in my facility (end quote. He's not the only one. .
Now I was bullied pretty bad at school, so I won't be bullied as an adult. Not from behind the scenes. As that is the lowest kind. .
So this is for the people who think that I do my best to ignore my home town. I've been pushed away by someone's ego. With no support !.

This is what we call a perfect Bermagui beach day. 🙌 Beares Beach is the closest surf beach to Bermagui village, producing great beach breaks as well as swimming and snorkelling opportunities in calm conditions. Hi all,

The very hard decision has been made to cancel this years tournament. Alot of hard work has been done by our volunteer tournament commitee and club members. The support from our sponsors and other local game clubs has been amazing but given the uncertainty due to COVID its not possible for us to run the tournament to a level that it deserves.

We would like to thank everyone for your support and patience over the last few weeks it has not been easy with the weather cancelling the first date and now COVID.

For everyone who has entered we will be in contact with you shortly to arrange your refund.

😷 NEW RESTRICTIONS ACROSS NSW FROM 6pm TONIGHT 😷

Under the new restrictions, people in Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong can only leave home for the following four reasons:

🛒 Shopping for food or other essential goods and services
💉 Medical care or compassionate needs (including to get a COVID-19 vaccine)
👟 Exercise outdoors in groups of 10 or fewer
👔 Essential work, or education, where you cannot work or study from home

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE IF YOU HAVE BEEN OUT OF OUR REGION

- People who have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after June 21 should follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney.

⚠️ FOR REGIONAL NSW: The rest of NSW will be subject to the following restrictions:

🏠 No more than five visitors (including children) allowed in homes
😷 Masks are compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings including workplaces
4️⃣ The four-square-metre rule is back for indoor and outdoor settings and drinking while standing at indoor venues is not allowed
💃🏼 Dancing will not be allowed at indoor hospitality venues or nightclubs, but dancing is allowed at weddings for the wedding party (no more than 20 people)
💪🏼 Dance and gym classes are limited to 20 people per class and masks must be worn
🎤 Singing by audiences and choirs at indoor venues or by congregants at indoor places of worship will not be allowed

We have reviewed the latest BOM forcast and it is with great regret that we have decided to postpone this weekend’s tournament. This decision was not easy for the tournament committee given the amount of time and preparation to organize the event and the distances some of the competitors have travelled to be here.
Saturdays gale force weather forcast will leave sunday unsafe for smaller vessels and will only leave a short day on monday.

We are currently working on a new date if feasible and will let you all know when if new date can be sorted.

For anyone who would like a full refund please send an email and we will sort it out asap. Alternatively if we can find a new suitable date we can hold your entry until then.
