Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! We've been a bit quiet on socials as my goodness it's been busy here with a packed out Christmas season and a little getaway to England for half our family. It's wonderful to be hosting so many of you here at The Drawing Rooms over Christmas and the school holidays - we know what a precious time of year this is, which means we are so grateful when you choose to spend it with us!

Our lovely little Lyrebird - tucked into the far corner of the estate, she enjoys views across lush green paddocks, rainforest and mountains. Elegantly styled, we've also added some stunning artworks by our aunt Christine - the kookaburra and pigeon are hers and work perfectly with our rural setting. A special home away from home.

Mornings here are beautiful. As we're up in the mountain air, the mists linger while the birds call to each other and kangaroos nibble on the lawn. Running around in that fresh country air might get the kids sleeping in a touch longer (no promises though haha!) but if not, make a coffee and step out onto your private deck for a family breakfast together. To make life easy, cereals and milk are all there for you but if you feel like a really big brekkie, ask us about our continental or country hamper and we'll happily gather together a generous basket of provisions, as locally sourced as possible and deliver to your door.

Each year, the Berry Gardens Festival delights locals and visitors alike - opening up private gardens in Berry and surrounds across 17-20th October. From rural landscapes to small cottage gardens, it's a highlight of the local calendar and there's always something inspiring to see. Last year, we opened up our own garden for this fabulous event and it was just the most amazing atmosphere! This year, there are 6 gardens (+ a bonus 7th) open for visitors and we can't wait to take a look. It's a beautiful event for families, and there are cake stalls, coffee vans and garden products for sale at the gardens - check out Berry & District Garden Club Inc. for more info.

While we're not opening our garden this year, if you're a guest with us, why not start by exploring the estate - designed by the garden won Gold for 'Rural and Regional Landscape' at last year's prestigious National Landscape Design Awards. With an orchard, two dams, perennial gardens and lawns to wander, you'll find plenty to explore.
