✨️ Tae Rak's Majestic Pelicans ✨️
Have you spotted our incredible pelicans while visiting Tae Rak? These elegant birds are regular visitors to the wetlands, gliding gracefully across the water or perching proudly by the water edge.
Fun Fact: The lower half of the pelican's beak has a flexible pouch of skin called the gular pouch. The pouch can hold up to 13 liters of food? It's like their very own fishing net! just like a Gunditjmara Eel net 😂😉
To see the majestic pelican's come to Tae Rak to witness these amazing creatures in action and experience the serenity of their natural habitat. Don’t forget your camera 🤳, you might capture a spectacular pelican moment like us!
This morning we had the incredible privilege of witnessing a large group of pelicans gracefully swimming across the waterways at Budj Bim. Thanks to our drone, we captured some amazing footage of these majestic birds in their natural habitat.
Why not come out and experience this UNESCO World Heritage site for yourself? Enjoy the beauty of Budj Bim with a guided tour and a lovely lunch surrounded by the rich history and stunning landscapes.

Honoring the Spirit of the Land
At Budj Bim we are proud to share the arrival of some artefacts crafted by the hands of a Gunditjmara artist. These pieces carry the spirit of the earth shaped by time, the powerful connection to Country from the roots of the trees.
When you hold them, you’ll feel its energy of the land, the stories whispered through the wood and the spirit of Budj Bim flowing through every grain. They remind us of who we are, where we’ve been and the power of what surrounds us.
Our guides are now honored to carry these artefacts during our tours, sharing their strength and connection with all who walk this sacred place.
We don’t need to say who the artist is, for he walks among us. If you listen to the land, you will know how to find him.
Come and experience the mystery and spirit of Budj Bim for yourself.
