Bespoke Holiday House - Bright A restored Mid Century HOLIDAY HOUSE located on the famous Delany Avenue. Bright, North East Victoria. Modern art mixed with vintage photos hang on the walls.

This is an accommodation located in a small North East Victorian town. The weatherboard house tastefully restored with all the modern facilities but respecting the era of the home. The interior has a light and airy feel to it with some lively and fresh colours. The furniture is a combination of restored pieces and modern design. The interior spaces are all well thought out from the window location

s to attract light, the open plan rear for a more pleasant outlook and decoration through colour choices, artwork, wallpaper, furniture and accessories. The accommodation is ideally suited to couples or small groups. Sorry not suitable for children under 10 yrs. Yes we are cycle and dog friendly.

A new restoration piece for the house… the perfect little pink and gold stool for sitting at the dressing table. Women of the 50s would pop on their lippy for a night out and sit here before bed time to brush their hair … don’t forget 100 strokes to bring out the shine.

I definitely considered the traditional fluffy fur but ended up with a classic pink velvet.
Sooo glamorous… I can picture Marilyn Monroe sitting here in her fluffy heeled slippers.

After a very generous donation from a kind local we have a new bird. As you can see it is was in very bad shape but we have repaired the many broken pieces and spent countless hours to get it fully restored and looking fabulous. Soon it will be back in the front yard at Bespoke Holiday House.

We are still on the lookout for the original one which was stolen early June this year. Anyone with information can contact us direct or Bright Police.

Our family like so many others at the time were very house proud and took family pics in the front yard.
You can definitely see my inspiration for Bespoke Holiday House in these pictures.
It’s not as common today but perhaps we can revive this old tradition.

STOLEN… Putting it out there to all our beautiful followers in the hopes that a small miracle may happen and someone sees or hears something that may help.
Between the 3rd and 11th of June (likely over the long weekend) our beautiful mid-century concrete bird/stork was stolen from the front yard of Bespoke Holiday House on Delany Avenue in Bright Victoria.

This bird is very important to me. My grandparents had one when I was a child and I searched for years to find the right one. It had undergone an extensive restoration by us personally putting lots of hours in to it.

We put so much much of ourselves in to this house and it’s so upsetting that this has happened.

It has specific colours and repairs and the foot has its original frog and lizard that would make it easily identifiable.

There is a chance it may have been taken and was dumped somewhere in town when it got too heavy or due to its rarity and value someone saw an opportunity and took for themselves or to sell.

It has been reported to police and if anyone has any information that would be very much appreciated!

Our Story

Bespoke Holiday House originally started its build in 1941 as a family home. Mr Burmingham was the town mayor at one point with Mrs Burmingham taking great pride in her garden and supplying flowers locally. The house had an extension in 1958 to include the gorgeous pink bath and sink we re-used in the current bathroom. It’s recent restoration took great respect for the original house and its owners and saved every original feature possible. It really takes you back to the time Marilyn Monroe cuddled up in furs and diamonds and Audrey Hepburn peered in the windows at Tiffany’s.

This accommodation is located in the small North East Victorian town of Bright. The weatherboard house has been tastefully restored with all the modern facilities but respecting the era of the home. Just a touch of Retro Glamour. The interior has a light and airy feel to it with some lively and fresh colours. Modern art mixed with vintage photos hang on the walls. The interior spaces are all well thought out from the window locations to attract light, the open plan rear for a more pleasant outlook and decoration through colour choices, artwork, vintage finds, retro wallpaper, reproduction and restored furniture and glamorous accessories. The accommodation is ideally suited to couples or small groups up to 6 people. Sorry not suitable for children under 10 yrs. Yes we are cycle and dog friendly. Bespoke is much more than a place to lay your head... It’s an experience!
