TRAVEL TALK THURSDAYS! 💬 . Crossing the Street in Vietnam with Peter & Kerry . As you can all imagine, the roads in Vietnam can be very busy and hard to navigate. Well it turns out, it is the same on foot! . On our first day in Saigon we took to exploring the streets and came to a point where we needed to cross the road. There were motorbikes going everywhere in both directions and we couldn't find a gap. After about five minutes of looking like a chickens bobbing back and forward, we were still standing on the side of the road. That is until a little old gentleman, without saying a word, walked in between Kerry & I and grabbed our hands. Within a flash and without any hesitation, he was walking us across the street and to our surprise, everyone just moved around us! We learnt throughout the rest of our trip, that if we wanted to cross the street, we just had to start walking. . MEETING PETER: Peter started working in the travel industry 1981 with TrekAmerica in the USA leading adventure tours in the USA and Canada which is where he met Kerry on a tour to Alaska. Together with Jan & Warwick Clarke, Peter and Kerry opened what is now Clayfield Travel Professionals in 1990. Peter is an incredibly insightful consultant who specialises in itinerary planning to North and South America. Being a native of the USA and having spent five years on the road in North America leading tours, plus with many visits to South America, he has a wealth of knowledge about the Americas!
