It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Taylor (aka Two Wheel Daydream ) to Ducati Preston this week.
Taylor is from Australia ๐ฆ๐บ and he set out on a round-the-world tour on his DesertX last year. He has some incredible stories to tell, especially the most recent one ๐ง
Follow him on Facebook and Instagram to see what he's been up to and see if he can complete his final European leg of his epic journey ๐๐ป

Yesterday I was in head on collision with a car near Hereford, about 2 hours north of London.
Unfortunately Daisy is no longer as some sparks met with fuel and combusted. I tried to put out the fire with a fire blanket but the blaze was too much.
Luckily, myself and the driver are okay. I somehow walked away with only bruises to my shoulder and foot. The other driver, minor scratches to his arm.
Thank you to everyone that supports this channel and my dreams of traveling. To those I met along the way, thank you for sharing in memories that I will have forever.
Thank you Ducati Croatia ๐ญ๐ท for the amazing story!
It was a pleasure to meet with the DOC Croatia and share some of my travel stories. This article does a great job of summing up my enthusiasm for meeting Ducatistas along my travels.

The story of the leaking tank ๐
So the tank started to leak when I was riding the rough roads of northern Laos ๐ฑ๐ฆ. I noticed the issue when I woke in the morning and started to pack the things on Daisy ๐. Over the night it had only leaked a small amount so I figured I could manage the leak and limp my way to Chiang Mai (2 days ride). But when I went to fill up the tank the added pressure from more fuel made the leak substantially worse.
I found a motorcycle repair shop ๐ง where we emptied the full fuel tank sanded back the crack and put some JB weld on the crack.
A day later the glue was holding, but I spoke too soon as the next day some more bad roads caused the glue to split and the leak started again ๐
A temporary aluminium foil repair job got me across the boarder of Thailand ๐น๐ญ where I epoxy glued the tank. Riding 4 hours from Chiang Ria to Chiang Mai.
After talks with Ducati and some great people iv met over my trip we have organised the tank to be replaced in Bangkok ๐
Riding through Laos it the north, I found the greenery I was looking for. But unfortunately it was clouded by smoke. In South east Asia right now it is biting season where land owners do controlled burning to p**s of tourist trying to see the scenery, or maybe for harvest reasons idk ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Either way the twisty roads are a nice change. I went to the kuang Si waterfalls just a 40 minute ride outside of Luang Prabang. I dipped in for a swim and the water was freezing ๐ฅถ
After that I noticed a small leak in my fuel tank from where the tank has been creasing due to the pressure build up from the expanding fuel, then decrease once cooled. This is an issue with the bike that has been somewhat cured in Kuala lumpur, but I think most of the damage was done by that point.
I stopped at a mechanic ๐จโ๐ง in town to see what we could sort out. After draining the fuel and sanding back the cracked area, I applied some good ole JB weld and let it sit for 4 hours. To which the neighbours of the work shop insisted on feeling me beers and food. They also tried to get me to sing some karaoke ๐ค but I wasnโt to keen to try my Laoโs over the PA system ๐
So since my last post I have been riding all over Cambodia ๐ trying to get in to every boarder possible to Vietnam. The Ducati Vietnam dealer and club even getting me in touch with a tour company that had a sit down meeting with some customs officials to try to get me in.
The result was IT IS POSSIBLE! But for $1200-1500 USD and take another 2 weeks to do the paperwork.
By this time I was just about to tick over 1 month in Cambodia ๐ฐ๐ญ and my boots were itching to get on the road. So I officially gave up on my Vietnam plans ๐ป๐ณ ๐.
The good that came out of waiting was that I gave myself some time in a fancy hotel to sit down and edit videos finally. Check out my previous post to watch ๐๐ฅ
Heading back into Phnom Penh from waiting at the Krong Bavet to talk to customs about changing my exit boarder paperwork before heading to Laos. But thatโs a whole other story. I made my way up to the same boarder that had given me such a hard time just one week before ๐ฉ
I arrived with a smile and sarcastic waves ๐ as the customs officials noticed Daisy ๐. As this is my third time at this boarder, I think they are sick of dealing with me. Because they gave me no issues at all this time ๐
Then onto Laos! ๐ฑ๐ฆ
Making my way through the dusty long roads with even more cows ๐ then Cambodia or Indonesia. I find myself herding them off the road most of the time with a few revs from Daisy ๐
Day 1 Pakse, Day 2 Thakhek, Day 3 Vientiane. Now finally working my way north towards some Greenery ๐. Stay posted!

I have designed Daisys ๐ top box to allow for two configurations. One set up for a passenger where the top box used as a back rest for the passenger. The second set up is for the other 90% of the time where the top box is moved forward for better weight distribution. The passenger seat is then mounted as a back rest for the rider.
