Key Responsibilities:
- Lead crime &/or ghost tours, sharing captivating stories and historical facts.
- Learn and deliver a well-researched script with flair and enthusiasm.
- Ensure guest safety and satisfaction during tours.
- Manage groups and maintain an engaging atmosphere.

Requirements:
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to captivate and engage diverse audiences.
- Reliable and punctual, with availability for Friday and Saturday evening shifts.
- Ability to learn and memorize scripts related to crime history or paranormal events.
- Enthusiasm for history, mystery, or the paranormal.
- Previous guiding experience or public speaking background is a plus.
- Drivers licence and car is a plus.
- Current Blue Card is a plus.

VALE Wayne Weaver - Veteran of Boggo Road Gaol.
No-one who met Wayne does not remember him. Wayne was the core of our team at Boggo Road Gaol. For 10 years Wayne shared his former life with visitors to the historic prison – school students, at-risk children and teenagers, senior citizens, locals and international visitors, and at functions and events. Wayne was precious – a kind man, willing and capable of guiding people through a place in which he paid a heavy penalty.

Not many people ever would return to Boggo Road. He tirelessly and truthfully answered every question put to him – often highly invasive, the sort of blunt questions you would never ask a stranger. He answered with dignity and honesty. He showed many who had never previously met someone who had “done time” that a person is not defined by their past and that they are still a good person.

Wayne was deeply respected on both sides of the bars, firmly advocating for improvements in prisoner’s rights. Though a calm, quiet man, he was never shy to give his opinion. His advice was the best you could ever get. He was a gifted artist in metal and precious stones, paint and pastels who passionately shared his talent and skills, while rocking the best handlebar moustache in the history of Boggo Road. No-one ever said a bad word about Wayne. He was a friend, father, and fighter who hung on to the end. He died last night. Goodbye from all of us at Boggo Road Gaol. When the Gaol reopens we will host an event in your memory.
