📢 P&O CRUISES AUSTRALIA BRAND TO BE RETIRED 🛳

Carnival Corporation will retire the 90-year-old P&O Cruises Australia brand in a major strategic shakeup revealed today.

Effective from Mar 2025, all P&O Cruises Australia operations will be folded into Carnival Cruise Line, effectively doubling the brand's presence in Australia.

Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure will be rebranded as Carnival Cruise Line ships, with Pacific Explorer to exit the fleet.

Both ships will operate alongside Carnival Splendor and Carnival Luminosa, with no changes forecasted for either of the two existing Carnival Cruise Line ships.

While change is never easy, the current Carnival Cruise Line President reassures us that the realigning around this new structure enables them to continue serving Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific as a more streamlined and efficient organisation.

📢BREAKING: Grand Princess will not return to Australia during summer 2025/26.

Princess Cruises has cancelled the entire lineup of voyages scheduled onboard Grand Princess for the Australian/NZ 2025-2026 summer season. Grand Princess will be redeployed to San Juan, Puerto Rico commencing on October 12th, 2025.

This has resulted in a revision to the Australian schedule for the 25/26 summer season, with Crown Princess taking over a number of Grand Princess’ scheduled cruises between January and March 2026.

While Grand’s entire Australian schedule for 25/26 has been cancelled, planned voyages onboard both Crown and Discovery Princess have also seen a number of changes.

Affected passengers will receive direct communications from Princess Cruises or their travel agents in the coming days.

A range of new sailings onboard both Crown and Discovery will be available to book on May 22nd.

💵 In 2022, cruise generated $138 billion to the global economy, 1.2 million jobs, and $43 billion in wages.

🔁 63% of those who have taken a cruise say that they have returned to a destination that they first visited via cruise ship for a longer stay, extending the economic impact.

💬 73% of cruise travelers say that travel advisors have a meaningful influence on their decision to cruise.
