Heather passion for Nepal was ignited in 1985, when she trekked the Annapurna Circuit for the first time. Following that first life-changing visit, Heather has returned to Nepal every year, and has made trekking the pulse of her life. A professional guide for over 20 years, Heather has trekked and climbed in many of the world's remote regions, including Makalu, Kangchenjunga, Dhaulagiri, Dolpo, Ma

naslu, Langtang and Mount Everest. Her formal guiding career began in 1986, when she led a trek to Dhaulagiri for Peregrine Adventures. She spent the following year leading treks in Nepal, before travelling overland from Kathmandu to London, where she lived until 1993. In 1995 Heather gained her Technical Mountaineering Course qualifications in New Zealand. During her career, she has worked as a professional guide for Peregrine Adventures, Back Track Adventures and Exodus Expeditions. In 2007 Heather established Ama Dablam Trekking and now leads specialised trekking expeditions for small groups to Everest Base Camp and other interesting places in Nepal. With well over 50 journeys to Nepal stamped in her passport, Heather's local knowledge and experience is matched by her skill as a leader and her love of the country and its staggering landscape.

EVEREST LESS TRAVELLED ~ 11 December 2024

Towering at over 8848m (29,000 feet), Mt Everest is perhaps the most iconic symbol of challenge and adventure on Earth. Experience this mythical landscape first hand on a fully escorted December 2024 Everest Region Trek followed by 3 nights at the stunning Namho Buddha Eco-Resort with daily yoga & meditation in a private studio.

Led by highly experienced yoga teacher & mountain guide, Heather Kinang, you’ll be immersed in the vibrant culture of Kathmandu, before journeying through the verdant valleys of eastern Nepal.
