367 parkrunners joined us for a run, jog and walk around Wishart parkrun this morning. We welcomed 8 first timers and 26 visitors.

Wishart parkrun #510

It was a hot one today at Wishart parkrun but that didn’t stop 394 parkrunners from enjoying their walk/jog/run.

It was amazing to have 13 first time parkrunners and another 36 parkrun tourists with us. We hope you enjoyed the experience and you will be back!
47 runners celebrated PB’s. You can ring the PB bell like Harry this morning!

It’s almost parkrunday - formerly known at Saturday - and we have a full volunteer roster this week!

We just filled the final barcode scanner role for next Saturday 15th, but on Feb 22nd we need a barcode scanner and photographer, then March 1st need a timekeeper, barcode scanner and photographer. Let us know if you’d like to reserve one of these roles, or add your name to the roster on our table.

If you’re coming to Wishart for the first time please arrive in time for our special first timer’s briefing at 6:45am. Emelia is very excited to welcome new people!

Please let Garry or Jeff know if you’re celebrating a milestone this week. We had a few that avoided a mention in the run briefing last week, and you know a milestone is always better with a shout out! 🎉

Today marked a super parkrun milestone with our 100 000th finisher at Wishart today! 🎉 It took us 509 events to reach this milestone, which is impressive given we originally only had 60-80 runners at events. Today we had 405 finishers, 18 of whom were very first timers to parkrun! 🤯 We also welcomed visitors from as far away as Minnippi, Cleveland and Canada! 🇨🇦

🙌 Congratulations to Noah on his 10th parkrun, Hendrix, Ava and Yan on 25 runs, Graham and Ross on 150 run, Vicki on 200, Eleanor on reaching her 250th parkrun today, and Bill on his 450th run! 🎉

Big thanks to today’s volunteer crew of
Jeff, Karen, Barbara, Neil, Shannon, Karen, David, Nathan, Brighde, Julie and Luba.

We have permanently added a third barcode scanning position, which means this role is up for grabs over the next few weeks. Let us know if you’d like it for 15th or 22nd Feb! We also need a photographer for 15th Feb. All of these important roles involve being less sweaty than if you’re walking or running the course! 😂
