I work an office job (fortunately work from home), have 2 step kids half time, and am able to dog sit as a side hustle without interruptions...
How? If you start your morning right with your pooch, they will happily spend the day snoozing.
Our mornings start at 5.30am with a walk or jog (depending on the dog and its energy).
We get back, have brekky, and an enrichment play to get their mind stimulated and working.
It doesn't take long for a happy and enriched puppy to then be ready for downtime until the afternoon.
One of these dogs is a 9mth old puppy with a lot of energy, and one has kelpie and Jack Russell in him and can easily run 30km.. so don't try and tell me that its only because they aren't active or are older dogs.
Just like humans, dogs work well with routine, exercise, enrichment, and boundaries 😊

Fitz + Potts at Nundah is a great bar for you & your furry friend. Fantastic food and us dogs got given water and our own rugs to relax while the humans could choose from delicious foods and bevos. The staff were so friendly and welcoming with winning best bar in Brisbane. A must go to!
Fish on Flinders at Sandgate Waterfront across the road from Sandgate pool. Go for a lovely walk along Sandgate/ Brighton Foreshore then enjoy some fish and chips. Nice undercover area to relax with water bowls available for your pooch.
So many tracks for us puppies to venture on with lots of great smells and things to see at Mount Cootha. Also plenty of picnic spaces and we relaxed with treats and water at Grey Gum Picnic area.
