GAM have been flying Aero Commanders for Team Global Express for more than 40 years and very succesfully I might add. However if TGE's needs change, then we respond. GAM welcomes our new aircraft, the Textron Aviation Cessna Caravan to the fleet. VH-UJK conducted its first flight at Essendon Fields Airport with 100% on time performance!

Well every great journey must have an end, the legend Engineer John Trim has retired!

Trimmy joined GAM back in the heyday of 1987, he left a couple of times. But managed to find his way back, thankfully. Throughout his time, he has been absolutely instrumental in keeping the Brisbane base aircraft serviceable. Not only did he train many engineers, but taught the odd pilot a thing or two as well. Trimmy you will be missed by many and we thank you for the countless hours and loyalty, the hangar doors will always be open for you!

Its all about location!
Where else would you rather be.......Hangar 1 & 2 is where its at.

The only thing more impressive than the view of Hangar 2 from Wirraway Rd is the view of its iconic sawtooth roof from above 😎

Built in 1940, she’s now home to GAM Group + Pawmobile + is looking as good as ever.

Luckily for us Anne Robinson was dropping her partner to work this morning at the early bird time of 5.30am just as Melbourne's sky was filled with a fantastic lightning display. Anne is very handy behind the camera and caught these stunning photos of a lightning bolt in sequence as it appeared to go right in front of one of our Aero Commanders.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Keith Radke. Keith has been a customer of GAM since the early 1990's, with the Aero Commander VH-LRI. His wife Shirley wasn't only his co-pilot in life, but in flight as well.

Keiths daughter Naomi continues his legacy as an airline pilot and more recently, his grandson Mitch is also a pilot.

Our deepest condolences, he will be greatly missed.

Friday fun fact - This U-4B, a U.S. Air Force version of the Aero Commander L-26, was used by President Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1956 to 1960 for short trips. A pilot himself, President Eisenhower would often take the controls, primarily during trips between Washington, D.C., and his farm in Gettysburg, Penn. The first presidential aircraft to have only two engines, the U-4B was also the first presidential aircraft to carry the familiar blue and white paint scheme.
