Insights into our Travel Experts' top food picks in Vietnam! 🍲✈️

Leigh from Brisbane Travel Centre has just come back from a wonderful trip to Vietnam, and she's got insider foodie tips that will transform your Vietnam travel dreams into an unforgettable foodie adventure! 🌏💫

Leigh mentioned that all the food in Vietnam was truly better than she could have imagined, and everything was such good value for money!

Can you believe it? The Banh Mi, a traditional Vietnamese sandwich shown in the first slide, was only around $1.50! 🥖

Leigh found the incredible flavours of Vietnam a true testament to its rich cultural tapestry. 🇻🇳👩‍

The top 5 dishes from Leigh’s trip were:

1. Banh Mi: an airy, crunchy French-styled baguette stuffed with a combination of meats, vegetables, and other condiments. Balancing different textures and temperatures, Bánh Mì also has a flavor profile that is off the charts: salty, sour, savoury, sweet, and aromatic all at once! 🥪

2. Vietnamese Dumplings: tiny, soft, and fluffy buns stuffed with a savory mixture of ground pork, chicken, mushrooms, onions, and eggs. 🥟

3. Pho: a Vietnamese soup consisting of bone broth, rice noodles, and thinly sliced meat (usually beef). It may also be served with bean sprouts, fresh herbs, limes, chiles, and other garnishes. 🍜

4. Morning Glory: a very typical Vietnamese vegetable, also known as swamp morning glory, water spinach, swamp spinach, or "rau muống" in Vietnamese. It's a leafy green vegetable with long slender stems and tiny white flowers. 🌿

5. Vietnamese Egg Coffee: A delicious rich espresso topped with a meringue-like fluff made with whipped sweetened condensed milk and egg yolk. ☕️🍳
