Airbus A380 - A fun fact about the Airbus A380 is that it has over 300 miles of wiring inside the aircraft, which is longer than the distance between London and Paris. In fact, if you were to unravel all of the wiring in the A380 and lay it out end to end, it would stretch for more than 1,150 kilometers (715 miles)! This massive amount of wiring is necessary to support the plane's complex systems and features, including its advanced avionics, in-flight entertainment systems, and lighting.

⛳️ International Golf Day 🏌🏼‍♂️
Swinging clubs on a picturesque course, breathing fresh air, and chasing a little white ball to find serenity. Golf is more than just a game.

Its time to pull those clubs out of storage, dust them off, and get ready to hit the green again! That’s right; it’s International Golf Day! Heralding the beginning of the more Golfer friendly part of the year, Golfers Day’s origin is shrouded in the myth and legend of this particular sport.

Some people say its origins lay in 1916 when the first professional golf tournament was held on this day. Others claim that the first tubular steel golf club shaft was allowed to be used in championship play for the first time on this day. Whatever the case, get on your favorite Golf Sweater, it’s time to play hooky from work and tee off!

There you’ll find The Barossa Valley which is a renowned wine-producing region northeast of Adelaide, in South Australia.

Did you know The Barossa was supposed to be named the “Barrosa” after a Spanish town. Alas, there was a typo, presumably by a more-Anglo settler, and so the name “Barossa” is a mistake.

Did you also know that The Barossa Valley has some of the world’s oldest vines, dating back an incredible 170 years!

Todays view was snapped whilst on charter in Dunedin

Did you know Dunedin's Baldwin Street is the steepest street in the world

In 1987, Baldwin Street was recognised as the world's steepest street by the Guinness Book of Records following a two-year campaign by the broadcaster Jim Mora. At the time, Baldwin Street topped two competing streets in San Francisco, which hitherto had held the title of being the steepest streets in the world.

On 16 July 2019, Baldwin Street lost its title of World's Steepest Street to Ffordd Pen Llech, with Baldwin Street being at a gradient of 35%, and Ffordd Pen Llech being at a gradient of 37.45%. Mayor of Dunedin Dave Cull said that the Dunedin City Council could consider altering the signage wording from the world's steepest street to the southern hemisphere's steepest street.

On 8 April 2020, after an extensive review of an appeal to return the title to Baldwin Street filed by several Dunedin residents led by surveyor Toby Stoff, it was decided that the steepness of the street must be based on the central axis, which meant that Ffordd Pen Llech had a gradient of 28.6% compared to Baldwin Street's 34.8%. This meant that the title of Steepest Street was returned to Baldwin Street.

Millions of golden jellyfish migrate across the lake daily. These jellyfish are not poisonous and therefore people can swim with them.

Did you also know that the world’s first shark sanctuary was set up in Palau in 2009. All commercial shark fishing activities were banned in Palau within its waters. There are over 130 different species of shark in Palau, and diving with them is an increasingly popular attraction

Todays view is looking out over Munich

For those of you who may not know Munich is the third biggest city of Germany (after Berlin and Hamburg), and the capital of Bavaria

Now did you know Munich invented play-doh…
Indeed. The pharmacist Franz Kolb invented the plasticine machine to help out his artist friends, who struggled to model clay during the colder months.

Did you also know that the oldest building in Munich is actually a toilet. The oldest building dates back to 1260 and yes you read that right, it’s a toilet. Archaeologists discovered the building outside the city gates, which revealed that Munich was much bigger than historians thought it was back in the 13th century.

Did you know Sydney Airport was declared an aerodrome in 1920. On 14 August 1936, the airport was renamed Sydney (Kingsford Smith) Airport in honour of pioneering Australian aviator Sir Charles Kingsford Smith. Up to the early 1960s, the majority of Sydneysiders referred to the airport as Mascot.

Also, Sydney Airport’s main runway is one of the longest commercial runways in the world at just under 4km. It was extended to this length in the late 1970s so it could double as a designated emergency landing site for the NASA Space Shuttle until 1986.

Cairns, considered the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef, is a city in tropical Far North Queensland. There you’ll find Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park which tells the stories of indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through music and dance.

Also, Cairns is home to the world’s most dangerous bird. The amazing, and terrifying, the cassowary is native to the north-eastern parts of Australia. Though not as tall as the emu, cassowaries are far stronger and more dangerous. The large black birds are easily identifiable due to their bright blue heads and dinosaur-like legs and feet
