Okinawa Japan

The Suiran Hotel in Arashiyama Kyoto is perfectly located along the Katsura River. I chose this location to be close to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and the ever so beautiful Arabica Kyoto coffee shop.
Logistics aside this Hotel is very unique. Previously a private summer residence of the Kawasaki Family, the hotel only has 39 rooms. Our room had its own cedar wood Onsen, with tatami mat flooring and Airweave bedding.
The things I loved about staying here-
Daily complimentary 2 hour champagne
One-way complimentary taxi fare included from Kyoto station
Superb service
Dinner at Kanzan, the most incredible Teppanyaki
Private Onsen
Exquisite Japanese gardens

Adachi Museum of Art in Shimane Prefecture Japan.
Every corner is like a painting, The Museum’s gardens have been ranked number one in the Japanese Garden Ranking since 2003. There are examples of a dry landscape garden, white gravel and pine garden as well as the more traditional pine and moss garden.
Attached is also the gallery of great paintings and pieces from Yokoyama Taiken and Kitaoji Rosanjin.
For me a Japanese garden is one of life’s greatest pictures. This place is very special 🧡

2023 Highlights for Belinda Ferguson Travel 🧡

Not really in any order as they are all special and memorable.

1.Monuriki Island in Fiji, where Castaway was filmed. Picture with my middle son Hamish who is now taller than me

2. Mykonos in Greece, The Myconian Collection and La collection Travel .lacollection were the most generous hosts.

4. Athens what a view and incredible meal ✨

Gateway to the Alps and no crowds✨

9. Agra at the iconic and mesmerising TAJ Mahal

10. Nagano Japan for some meditation and reflection. This was a well needed start to the year. Looking forward to getting back to Japan in January.
